I agree, his character always leaves much to be desired but in a good way. We're given just enough to want to know more each week.

Well, you had a great idea concerning this thread

That's the great thing about this show, the cliffhangers are really interesting as much as all the characters, we don't know them much but we can see how complexe they are already and mostly Mr Gold

I agree - Mr. Gold is definitely one of the most complex characters, if not the most. I didn't even know what to expect from him after his confrontation with Regina. He almost made it sound like he would have helped her take care of Emma but then again - his actions make it seem like he wants her there too.
