Yeah, it was. I am not sure if maybe they found out towards the end of S3 that Rachel was pregnant and they had to figure out a solution to get Wade and Zoe back together before Rachel started really showing a baby bump. But I do still feel like the ending was purposely done because it had the right end with Zoe finally admitting she loved Wade, so I am not sure.

Yeah, the entire course of the show would have been different. It definitely makes you wonder what it would have looked like if they were not as oblivious as they were. I feel like you are right in thinking that they might have had the town locking them in a room or closet somewhere just to get them to talk through their problems. Still think that would have been awesome to see!


awww great picture! I loved that they kept the theme of Wade/Zoe talks at the bar in the RJ. They even kept it through their break up too which was so great!

Yeah, that would have been fun at some point! It was like when they were trapped in that barn in 1x22, that made them talk about a lot of things

& I did like that early on in s3 that we were still getting plenty of scenes, & that Wade was the one that Zoe was telling everything to, I wish that had continued...

Yes, exactly this. Most of my thoughts now are NOT at all what I was getting the first time around. Heck not even after the second or third. Lol. I was very confused how we got from point A (Joel leaving and Zoe grieving) to point B (Zoe awakening to her feelings for Wade), but by the forth rewatch, I started seeing things. But they are still very subtle and very blink and you’ll miss it. Overall it was really crappy writing and WB/RB could only do so much with it. But once they were given the material they nailed it.

One thing that ALWAYS frustrated me was the lack of support WZ got from the town. They’d probably have supported Zoe with a serial killer over Wade. I was always so irritated by the way the townspeople looked down at Wade and just never expected Zoe to end up with him and actively rooted for her to end up with someone else even when she was pregnant. It made me so mad. It wasn’t funny.

The town was terrible about supporting Wade period and they didn't support Zoe til S2, and it still came with judgement.

The way they treated Wade always bugged me too, I know it was different by the end of season 4, but I really wish that could have been a bigger deal. Like a time where everyone would recognize who Wade has become, & that they were wrong to be so hard on him in the first place

Yeah. during my multiple rewatches of HODit was the first time that I was catching all the little subtle hints and the seeds they planted in each episode. From the very beginning when Joel walked in the door in the practice in 3x01, and hugged Zoe, she gave a very sad and confused look. And then all the way to the point of the middle of S3 when Joel was using up all the wifi in the RJ and Wade made a comment about it and Zoe told him that Joel was really great and raving about him, but then turned around and didn't seem so happy with who she had. But those were things I didn't catch until the fourth or fifth rewatch. That shouldn't have been the case.

Yeah, I agree about how the town treated Wade. I truly believe that they still saw Wade as "the one who cheated on Zoe" and it took awhile for them to realize that he wasn't that same person anymore. The only time that Wade was ever mentioned as potential for Zoe's love life was in 2x22 when Dash went up to him in the RJ but after that it seemed to flip again with them thinking that George was meant for her. All because of George's song. Because when Dash told the story to Joel in 3x07, Wade was loving the fact that he was still staying under the radar and everyone completely forgot that Wade was still very much still in the mix of things.
