Yeah, it was. I am not sure if maybe they found out towards the end of S3 that Rachel was pregnant and they had to figure out a solution to get Wade and Zoe back together before Rachel started really showing a baby bump.
But I do still feel like the ending was purposely done because it had the right end with Zoe finally admitting she loved Wade, so I am not sure.
