They are a bit different than from the books, so I am sure they don't want that everyone know that they are witches.

Not to mention that it being a secret adds a little extra pressure on the characters that the books didn't have. It's certainly more dramatic to have the coven members worrying about being found out than if everyone knew from the beginning. Since the books were quite short there was no need for the kind of ergency a weekly tv show will require.

Honestly the Henderson twins being cut is the only thing that's bothering me about the adaption so far. Out of all the coven members I think their personalities would have actually translated best to screen. Plus they might have added a nice little comic relief element that if used lightly would have been fun to play with from time to time.

And now that they've added Sally to the cast I see there being someone on the look out for magic being used. If she's going to be anything like she was in the books at least.

I've been so depressed about the fact that the twins were left out. I don't want the show to be too dark and now I'm worried that there wont be any funny in there. I can't imagine any of the characters really being funny like they were.

Well they were the funniest people in the books, so it is sad to see that they won't be there. But I am sure they will but some funny moments in the show.
