I think they had a strong friendship in S1, Caroline said Bronnie was her best friend twice, and they talked all the time when Bonnie was away. They could have done sooo much with their friendship, with the vampire thing, but they kinda just dropped it, so disappointing. I totally got why Bonnie reacted the way she did, I wish they had done a better job of showing her point of view on things, but alas.

"And don't we all know it"  That episode was one of my favorite for them in season 1. Despite their argument at the sleepover, I like when Caroline went and explained things to Bonnie about why she reacted the way she did, and the whole conversation __________________

I feel like Bonnie/Elena and Caroline/Elena have always had a much stronger relationship then Bonnie/Caroline. But I think if they would actually spend some time together, then they could be really good friends again.
