WELCOME BACK, SENIORS — On the first day of their senior year, Elena (Nina Dobrev), Caroline (Candice Accola), Bonnie (Kat Graham) and Matt (Zach Roerig) are still reeling from recent events, while Tyler (Michael Trevino) seems to be enjoying everything a little too much. Damon (Ian Somerhalder) is annoyed by a new houseguest, and everyone is surprised by the arrival of a new student in Alaric’s (Matt Davis) history class. Matt asks Bonnie for help when he realizes he made a serious mistake. Meanwhile, Stefan (Paul Wesley) continues to carry out his latest assignment from Klaus (Joseph Morgan, who does not appear in the episode). Steven R. McQueen also stars.

{October27} 3x07 "Ghost World"
NIGHT OF ILLUMINATION — As Mystic Falls prepares to celebrate the traditional Illumination Night, the town is invaded by spirits of the dead. After a particularly violent encounter with an angry spirit, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) asks Bonnie (Kat Graham) to find the reason behind the ghosts’ surprising power. Elena (Nina Dobrev) convinces Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) to use his connection to the other side to help her find a new way to reach Stefan (Paul Wesley), leading Jeremy to a terrible choice. Finally, Alaric (Matt Davis) discovers a long-hidden clue to the past. Candice Accola and Zach Roerig also star.

I wanted to see what you were talking about with the main SS. Ugh. So uncalled for.

Where did it say that the 5the episode would be big for Stefan?

It's a spoiler thread not a debate thread.

I think it was tweet that said that...but I'm not 100% where to find it at the moment.

During filming there were people saying it was going to be a big Stefan episode.

I made a promise when I came back to FF that I'd never visit a general discussion thread again, in order to avoid getting involved in a shipwar. Not sure what they said, but it's most likely Stefan-bashing because things aren't looking as positive as they'd hoped.

I hope they are right about that. From the description he sounds like an afterthought right now, but descriptions can be very misleading.

Ahh, thank you for clearing that up.

It's not about shipping persay, but more of a Stefan verse Damon debate about how the others react to their killings and what they are getting away with which yes involves Elena as one of those people. Anyway I'll get off that topic, but I needed to vent a little bit.

Hmm, maybe I should of taken this to the rant thread.

So happy there is a new episode tomorrow!

I'm hoping that we will continue to see quality and quantity of Stefan scenes.

Hmm, maybe I should of taken this to the rant thread.

The difference is Damon's killings were done of his own free will, wereas Stefan's not only not in control of himself, but HAS to follow Klaus' orders or else. And I think it's painfully obvious why Elena is able to forgive Stefan easier than Damon, besides the above, but certain people don't want to admit that to themselves.

After Julie's video yesterday, I'm really looking forward to tomorrow's episode now.

i wonder if maybe the angry spirit is lexi? and maybe elena wants jeremy to get in touch with lexi to help stefan??

Yep, that's what I'm thinking. Elena's still fighting for him.

This is supposed to be the ep Damon leaves on his road trip, so it sounds like his travelling companion might be Bonnie after all.

Also - the angry spirit is most likely Mason.
