2x01 The 48

SEASON TWO BEGINS IN A DANGEROUS NEW WORLD — Picking up where the season one finale ended, Clarke (Eliza Taylor) is still alone in the white room, frantically trying to make sense of her bizarre surroundings, while the fate of Bellamy (Bob Morley), Finn (Thomas McDonell) and Raven (Lindsey Morgan) is still unknown. Lincoln (Ricky Whittle) and Octavia’s (Marie Avgeropoulos) daring plan is thwarted and an enemy returns. Meanwhile, Abby (Paige Turco), Kane (Henry Ian Cusick) and the survivors of the Ark must face physical and moral dilemmas in their dangerous and beautiful new world. Finally, Jaha (Isaiah Washington) makes a heroic decision. Devon Bostick and Chris Larkin also star. Dean White directed the episode written by Jason Rothenberg (#201).

So much of it has already been spoiled but I've been holding strong and not reading anything that's too detailed. I want to still be sort of surprised in the premiere.

It was such a good episode! I was live tweeting for the original airing so I'm gonna have to go back and re-watch it b/c I'm sure I missed some things.

First off, Clarke was such a badass! It was awesome. She busts out of her room makes a weapon out of a broken piece of glass then when Dante shows her some nice clothes she breaks the heel of a shoe and slips it up her sleeve to use as a weapon. She was just so damn resourceful and using Jasper to distract Maya was pretty great too. And she nearly escaped. Too bad Jasper is a brainwashed fool who believes the BS that the people are telling him.

I'm so damn glad that Clarke doesn't believe any of it and is working on an escape plan. This whole "we weren't exposed to the solar radiation so it'll kill us" thing is utter crap.

I did not see Monroe and the cute guy that was flirting with Clarke on Unity Day being alive on the outside coming. I was sooo pissed when Bellamy came up with a plan of attack to try to save Finn from Tristan and they both froze and let him go alone and then get his ass kicked. Freaking cowards.

When Murphy walked into that drop ship, I was so damn disappointed that Raven was all out of bullet.

And then he starts telling his sob story about his family like that's supposed to justify the things that he's done. To top it all off, Kane not locking that little sht up just pissed me off.

Kane can say "we're not animals" yet has Bellamy tased and then handcuffed for throwing a few punches? So this was how I felt about Kane after that moment...

Oh, and thank you Finn for defending Bellamy to Kane! Even though he didn't listen...

Abby leaving that note for Clarke on the side of the drop ship made me happy. I hope this means that Clarke will be able to find him sooner rather than later when she escapes Mt Weather.

Kane did listen to Finn, but he was like "okay, but assaulting people is still illegal."

Seriously, in Real Life, if someone tackles somebody to the ground and starts beating them like they want to kill them, they will get arrested. And you don't arrest someone just because another person says they're a murderer. You have to have evidence to do that. Kane is not doing anything wrong and he's not being a jerk. It just seems like that from our perspective because we know the whole story.

What Finn told Kane should've been taken into account and Kane should've had both Bellamy and Murphy handcuffed, not just Bellamy. Arrest them both until you figure out what the hell is going on. Also, Murphy totally deserved to get his ass beat and more. That character is pretty much irredeemable to me.

I completely forgot to talk about Jaha.

I'm confused about whether or not what he heard was an actual baby crying or if b/c the oxygen levels are so low on the Ark, he's starting to hallucinate. I would hope that someone didn't just leave their baby behind. Plus, he's been up there alone for a couple of days at this point so I'm pretty sure he would've heard the baby crying by now.

Maybe when he goes in search of the baby he's going to see a little Wells and then hopefully he'll see an older Wells telling him not to give up b/c he should be on Earth with the rest of them.

I desperately need a father/son scene between them and if Jaha is hallucinating then it's the perfect opportunity to have a scene like that.

What'd you think of that mutant that Octavia saw in the woods? Friend or foe?
