It really was especially considering he was starting to make peace with everything
 and agree too bad it hadn't been done earlier but still feel they did some great work all the same with the character, AA and the volunteering__________________

They did brilliantly with what they did give to his character
I just wish we saw more bonding with the others & we didn't just see how close they were after he'd gone__________________

I liked him in the show - he fit in well, and I think he was a really close friend to Ellie & Nick.
My only complaint with him is that we are not seeing him enough, or that consistently during the 2 seasons, more or less he helos ncis out... __________________

I just think his character suffered & wasn't used as originally intended so became more a wasted opportunity which didn't quite fit as he more just "popped his head up" to help out at times

that assessment makes sense... and of course as the actor had personal issues as well, he cpuldn't be at every episode either...
he was in s14e1 , but not in s14e2... __________________
