I will say I did not like the ending with Sheldon's comment 'Feel free to retain a lawyer' and how they cut at Amy's reaction. Just kind of left a bad taste

That's exactly what I said somewhere else! Of course, I had people on imdb saying that Sheldon is so selfish (and germaphobe), he would never do it for her; I pointed out that selfish or not, he's fair-minded enough to have a mutual clause on most things even in the roommate agreement.

I really want to see him when she's sick - as Linda says, the initial reluctance, and then getting into looking after her, in a very Shedonesque ('it's not optional') way.

So I read some comments on another site saying that Shamy won't last because the relationship is one sided, and Amy's the only one willing to put any effort into it. I wanted to ask them "did you watch the last episode?" because that was all about Sheldon's feelings.

Exactly. Going to get Amy at the theatre, deciding he wanted to be in a relationship, writing up that whole agreement, that's a whole load of effort for Sheldon! And in TIP he was clearly putting out the effort to make her feel better and cuddling with her the whole night and listening to her play that harp. You can't call that not trying.

No, you certianly can't. Not after two episodes focusing on his feelings-if anything, Amy's the one who hasn't shown them-we know she likes him, but at least storyline wise, he's been the one showing the effort-but considering who he is and who she is, it's pretty clear the feelings is mutual.
