So, Jussie Smollett was officially charged with filing a false police report. Sigh. I really hope this doesn't hurt Jurnee's career in any way. My first thought was, maybe she could drop the hyphen and just use her married name. I know he's her brother, and it's their family name, but it's going to be so infamous now .... In fact, a lot of the siblings are in acting and/or singing. I think it's like 4 or 5 of them. Jurnee was the most famous. Well, until now.

Hey whatever happened to "Friday Night Lights: The Musical"? Seems it was just that one time. I assumed it would travel around.

I think the musical just got shelved. Scott was supposed to be in it and he's mentioned nothing. They did something similar for Mean Girls and it was just like a two weekend show in LA, so it wasn't some huge deal.

I feel bad for Jurnee having to deal with all this. And I think she has some pretty high profile projects coming out this year that are going to require her to be at the forefront of the press tours. Having to answer for her idiot brother is going to get exhausting and I feel like she shouldn't have to.

I honestly can't believe someone would be that stupid to make up a story like that and not believe that they'd be found out. I read somewhere that he didn't want to report it to the police but his manager thought he should. So maybe it just kind of got out of hand. That doesn't make it right, it's just, ugh, don't give the people that victim shame any more reason to not believe REAL victims.

I know that Mean Girls is a broadway show now, but years ago they did the same type of thing they were going to do for FNL in LA, it was kind of a piggy back off of the success of that.

I happened to see an ad for it today! I'd love to see him. Her, not so much. I loved Felicity, but everytime I see her now the first thing I think about is that she and Matthew Rhys hooked up on The Americans while both of them were still married. No bueno. I do love Adam Driver now though.

I had to look it up, and yes, Jurnee is currently shooting the Birds of Prey -- with Margot Robbie! It's a spinoff of Suicide Squad.

I thought this was Matthew's first marriage? And Keri was already separated? I don't know, I don't know a ton about their relationship just that they have the kid together.

But I love Adam.

Birds of Prey will be huge. Hopefully enough time will have passed that it won't be an issue for her, or just a blip on the radar. With how fast news stories move today who knows what she'll be asked in a year when it finally hits theaters.

I suppose I should actually research the situation between Keri and Matthew before I sound so definitive about it. I'm going by what I've "heard," which as we know isn't always the truth.

FNL is back to the beginning tonight on Starz. The pilot was on.

Wikipedia, the always perfectly accurate internet source of information, says Keri separated from her husband in 2013 and Matt doesn’t appear to have been married previously. I know nothing about there personal lives. I do love The Americans though.

We need to seriously rewatch FNL.

From what I remember there were rumors about Matthew and Keri being close on set and then there was confirmation that Keri and her husband were separated. BUT, she's pretty private, so I'll give her the benefit of the doubt that they could have been separated for a good period of time before anything went public with Matthew.

There's an anthology series on Hulu and Matt Lauria is in an episode, they're stuck in an elevator.
