I've been watching just BR episodes tonight striating with Sandcastles in the Sand, they had such a good buildup with Barney falling in love with her and her realizing her feelings for him, the first few episodes of season 5 were so so good with definitions just being amazing! I think The Rough Patch was weird because the episode before they realized that they were their own couple and could be good doing their own thing.

then they're like "oh, too much awesome, it cancels it out."

lazy, lazy writing.
