EPISODE DESCRIPTION
Franky is in a bad place - it's the week of her mock exams and she's unable to concentrate on her studies. Her friends are avoiding her, parental support makes her feel smothered and in her isolation she feels propelled towards Luke. Drawn into Luke's dangerous world, she finds an outlet for her anger and frustration.

I've been bracing myself for this sort of episode since series 5. I hope it has a finessed script to go along with the explicit visuals. This is dangerous territory and Skins does not want to border anywhere near exploitation of female subjugation or abuse for mere titillation. With Jamie Brittain's 'oddly enthusiastic endorsement',i'm a little concerned.

I'm really exited. If they really show a rape, then it should be treated carefully and not just pushed aside if they're more "exiting" storylines.
Aaand I'm totally looking forward to possible Frick&Malo moments

this grace thing is also gonna be interesting, in which "form" she might appear.

same. rape scenes disturb me so much. rape scene or not, that scene looks extremely disturbing just from the trailer..i dont know how i am gonna watch the whole scene. ugh.

I agree. Nowhere else would it make sense to have such an entity appear. That one incident will be a defining factor in how seriously this episode can be taken. According to a review there is no outright condemnation of the situation or events in the episode. This is fine as every teen show does not need to be an hour long public service announcement about the dangers of 'growing up.' Having said that I hope it doesn't sway in the opposite direction either. Sometimes due to the use of music and staging of scenes Skins can appear to be giving some rather unfortunate circumstances a ringing endorsement. Not much will be that shocking to me. I've lived through a great deal of what Franky has been through. I just want this to be on a higher level. The subject matter demands it. What do you think?

really dreading this episode. this is going into the effy territory and has the potential to be either a massive success or very stupid mess.
