For me, it depends on the book. If I'm really into a book and can't put it down, I take it with me everywhere. I rarely get to read when I'm not alone in my house though.

I usually bring a book if I'm riding the bus or in someone's car. If I know I'll be sitting & waiting a long time (like at the doctor, dentist or government office) then I'll stuff one in my purse just before I leave the house.

Now that I have my big purse again, it's really easy to keep a book with me all the time. I've been reading like mad lately so I've had a different book in my purse every other day. I love it.

Not everywhere, but a lot of places. I always bring a book to school, on long plane or car rides, and to appointments when I anticipate sitting in a waiting room. And before I go on a vacation, I'll usually stop by Barnes & Noble and buy a few new books for the trip.

When I was a kid I always had a book on me everywhere I went: school, planes, doctor's waiting room, vacation... Even if I was taking a break from reading it b/c my eyes were tired, I still held onto the book.
Now it depends how good the book is and if I am really into it. I still take one to the doctor's office b/c that's always a long wait and on vactaion so I don't get bored. But I only carry it around everywhere if it's really good and I can't put it down. |

I also have a tendency to check out what other people are reading and usually attempt to peek at the cover to see the titles. It's just interesting to discover what other people read. |

99.9% of the time, yes. You never know when you'll have to endure a long, or not so long, wait that can be put to good use. If I'm traveling, I'll have more than one (I think I took 5 on my last trip).

I carry a book around about 85% of the time. I usually have my messenger bag with my discman, my CD wallet and a couple books, except when I'm at school. Then I have my school book bag and theres usually at least one book in there.

Lately I've had one of Dee Henderson's books with me all the time.
