Yeah Half Blood Prince was sad, didnt make me cry though. The Notebook kinda upset me upon thinking about it after - no crying though.

I almost had to cry at one scene in "Jude the obscure" by Thomas Hardy.

"Germinal" by Émile Zola.
I cried my eyes out. I never looked at miners and mining in the same way.

Hiya, First off I want to say hi to everybody here since I am very new
SleeplessDreamer, I have read some T-Hardy and I saw that Book at the library and if you say it was good, I'll surely check it out, so long as it has a bit of romance in it. .
I am a cry baby at times, especially when it comes to love stories. Let me see; Romeo and Juliet, lots and lots of classic romance novels, most recently, to date is the Phantom of the Opera. The Leroux made me ball for days and kay's version just rekindled it and the movies almost killed me and now I'm heading off to see the play in a few months. Am I asking for death?
I'll cry at happy endings and sorrowful ones; That's just me.
Oh my gosh, Don't start talking to me about the Titanic!!!!
But really, I haven't balled so heavily about anything except for Titanic and the whole 'Phantom' saga.
Any kind of sad animal news gets me also. Sorry for coming off topic

In the Time of the Butterflies b/c it's a true (fictionalized) story about a time in the Dominican Republic that my parents lived through. The way that the ending was written was very sad, and I couldn't help but just cry through the entire last chapter!

The saddest book I've ever read is "PS I love you" by Cecelia Ahern. I enjoyed the sad "Where the rainbows end" (La vie est un arc-en-ciel) by her too even If it made me cry.

All of the Lurlene McDaniel books make me cry. I cried the most through As Long As We Both Shall Live. I also cried for Scribbler of Dreams, and The Two Princesses of Bamarre.

That I can remember right now: 'The Outsiders' by S.E. Hinton. That letter at the end was killing *sniff*
