Nicholas Sparks Appreciation

He's one of my favorite authors because I can pick up any of his books and read them front to back.

Out of the books he's written, I've read A Walk To Remember, The Notebook, The Guardian, The Wedding, The Rescue, and Message in a Bottle. I have a few more that I have bought but I haven't gotten around to reading yet.

Which books have you read by him? And what were your favorites?

Also, how do you feel about his stories being made into movies?
(i.e. Message in a Bottle, A Walk to Remember, and The Notebook)

The Guardian was the last one I read, and it's one of my favorites.

I love Mike Harris in the story.

Definately love his work. "The Rescue" is by far my most favorite book. I really think it would be nice if they did a movie on it. I can still picture the little boy from the story saying, 'play with me daddy' or something like that (and I haven't read that book in a very long time).

I've only read the Notebook. I really want to read . The Wedding, and a Walk to Remember. The Notebook was really good, different from the movie, but good.

SWJaggy, I would pay major bucks to see The Rescue in theaters! That, too, is my favorite of his.

I don't mind them being made in the movies, as long as it is done right. The Notebook and A Walk to Remember were both very well produced and successful, I loved both of them.

I agree with you guys that The Rescue is one of his best stories, but I also love The Guardian because he mixes a little bit of mystery with the love story.

I love this man! His books are just amazing and in my opinion better than the movies. The way he expresses emotions; both happy and sad are astounding.

I've read A Bend In The Road, A Walk to Remember, Message in a Bottle, Nights In Rodanthe, The Guardian, The Notebook, The Rescue, and The Wedding. Yes, I admit I'm a bit of a nerd

I can't choose which one is my favorite

Its okay, when I read my first book of his (The Notebook) I fell in love, and started to read all of his and couldn't put any of them down!

The Guardian was written very well, but was so sad. Great novel, though.

Hello All.

I love Nicholas Sparks. He's one of my favorite writers. I've read: A Walk to Remember, A Bend in the Road, The Gaurdian, and The Rescue. My all time favorite would have to be The Gaurdian... how could you NOT like Mike & Julie... and her dog, Singer?! Hehe.

Hi!

Aw, Singer. I loved Sparks' characterization of the dog. It was well written, and different than most authors.

Hey girls, I love his work too. Amazing how he can make you feel so many emotions all at once, isn't it?

Which books have you read by him? And what were your favorites?
I've read A Walk To Remember, The Rescue, The Guardian, Message in A Bottle, The Notebook, Bend In The Road, Nights in Rodanthe and True Believer. Yes, I am a bit of a nerd too. But my favourites definitely have to be The Rescue and The Guardian, followed by Bend In The Road, and A Walk To Remember.

Also, how do you feel about his stories being made into movies? (i.e. Message in a Bottle, A Walk to Remember, and The Notebook)
I've only seen AWTR and The Notebook and loved both. Well-written, well-acted and well-produced. Usually I hate movie tie-ins, but these two did the book more justice than the usual ones. I would love to see a 'The Rescue' or 'The Guardian' movie too! That would be love.

I just want to know, since I'm re-reading A Bend In The Road right now.. Sarah and Miles did end up together, right?

I've seen Message in A Bottle, The Notebook, and A Walk To Remember. All three are in my favorite movies list.

Singer was the best. What a smart, smart dog.
