And confuse it into thinking I want to listen to anything other that nu metal? Can't do that.

Good thinking. That way I can keep my Non Point/Ill Nino/etc. recommendations intact.
The new Thy Catafalque album has been available for streaming for the last few days. Personally, I don't like it as much as I liked some of the previous ones (Meta and Rengeteg), but it's still a good listen. |

i use my spam account when i'm going on the 90's pop hits nostalgia binges, but i've accepted that my taste is all over the place, therefore so is my youtube. It's like my youtube has multiple personalities

Both of your recommendations must be varied and fun. I sometimes wish I didn't intensely obsess over one or two things for a period of time. Balance is better.
New Obscura I can't remember if I already posted either of these songs, but I've been listening to Archspire's last album again. These are the opening and closing track. Everything in between is worth a listen too. It was one of my favorite albums last year. |

Kittie! I'm 99,9% certain they were the very first all-female band I ever listened to. Still haven't gotten round to revisiting any of their stuff, but I plan to. The documentary seems interesting too.
On an unrelated note, newish Skinless. When I first heard brutal death metal in high school I loved it and considered it the best thing ever, but then it ended up not being that large part of my listening in later years. Since I'm huge on nostalgia lately, I might as well try to dive back into the genre and dig deeper. It was pre-fast-internet and pre-streaming era back then, so I can't have heard much beyond the most accessible surface level bands. |

Thanks!
I'm currently listening to the new Amorphis. I'd recommend anyone who ever liked the band (or anyone who thinks folky melodeath might be their thing) to give it a try. They're never gonna top Tales from the Thousands Lakes and Elegy imo, but this is still pretty good in its own right. |
