The only thing that bugs me is Killswitch. I saw them last year and they were awful live, then when they played here in Birmingham last week as support of Iron Maiden, my friends posted videos and the crowd was stand still! I thought they were great in Manchester (and I've heard a few stinkers in my time). He was awesome his stuff, Howard's and even Dio ffs! As for the crowd, the majority are there solely for Maiden regardless of the support (like I was last year, even with Shinedown supporting

), so I'm not surprised really. You don't always get that crossover of support. the return of Howard was wasted on that crowd though, he deserved to sing it at a headlining show.

I think this sounds fantastic even with crappy footage.

On the contrary, I'd say if they're their for Maiden chances are they like Killswitch. A few people I know who went said the most people did at the whole entire gig was sing.

There wasn't even a mosh pit at the one in Birmingham.

You don’t get them at Maiden shows anyway.

at least the two I’ve been to anyway.

I see it as a positive though, I have no interest in the pit. I’d much rather hear 18,000 people sing, which we did.

But hey, we rarely agree.

I sometimes get sucked into a pit but make sure to get out especially before it gets to damn wild. I got hit in the face one from a guy from doing elbows.

It's just fun at a gig. When you listen to music alone there's no one to dance with, when at a gig or metal club there are loads of people to mosh with.

Wall of death is my favourite. Plus 9/10 the band will ask you to open up the pit. I'm more than happy to respect their wishes.

I know what you mean Quin there have been a few times I haven't complied, a couple of times I've broken my hand or gotten a black eye and I haven't felt like going in to another one.

I think it's one of my favourite things about metal bands, because although metalheads are known as the most peaceful people, their music is so aggressive and when there's a gig on our aggressive nature is welcomed.

It's most definitely not a Maiden thing.
