I'm always rolling my eyes at phrases like that.

I think i've only met one band who didn't lie and say it and they were straight up like "Nothing will ever beat Brisbane." I lose so much respect for bands when they say every gig is the best one.

Machine Head just pick out the best one or two fans from each show and give them t-shirts.

That does sound awesome.
Cheesy crowd praising is terrible, but even worse are singers who have the nerve to be condescending to the audience. That kind of douchebaggery can put me off a band (at least for awhile). Quote:
Glad you enjoyed it. I like atmo black a lot, but - just like with any other genre - a lot of it can feel a bit samey and/or boring if it's not your cup of tea. Some new tracks |

Playful depreciation is fine. Genuine superiority complex not so much. BRMC is Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, right? (basing that guess on googling "BRMC, Peter" )
Kinda defeats the purpose Hipster black metallers are also back: (For the record, I'm just kidding. They get too much crap and - even though I found Sunbather overrated, especially by Pitchfork-esque sites - it's not their fault.) |

Are you a fan too? Or are they famous enough that anybody less clueless than me would have thought of them?
New Marduk These dudes are very likely garbage human beings but they were one of my favorite bands when I was just discovering black metal. |

the second one. although I've never listened to them, I've seen the abbreviation enough to remember.
And I just found out that Bleeding Through are back - __________________

In agreement too. His music is great. If only he'd refrain from talking. Or using body language.
I'll try to remember who BRMC are. Doesn't help their case that their name reminds me of Black Label Society, so I immediately see Zakk Wylde when I see their name (it has one word in common and that's enough for me; All That Remains, All Shall Perish and All Time Low are also the same band in my head). Alkaloid have a very nice new song, can be streamed over at No Clean Singing. In more tech death news, Obscura are teasing their new album. I like Obscura, but hate those 3-second long previews, so I'm waiting for the proper track. |
