Eric is brought in as a guest lecturer for high school to Cory's school. Topanga develops a crush on Eric, while Cory thinks she has a crush on him.

[1x14] The B-Team of Life (Aired 28 Jan 1994)
Cory is put on the second string in basketball and starts to think everyone around isn't paying attention to him.

[1x15] Model Family (Aired 4 Feb 1994)
Mr. Feeny gives the class a project, to play an ideal family. He sets Minkus and Shawn up as brothers, with Cory and Topanga being the parents. Mr. Feeny wants them to become a model family. Eric quits his job working with his dad when he gets a job modeling at the mall. Amy and Alan decide to let him learn his own lesson.

I'm so disappointed to read that Minkus disappears after S1 What? Okay, I better savor the second half of this season then.

1x08 If you're re-watching, what are your memories of this and do they hold up? Ah, yes. I remember the bet where Cory and Feeny switch jobs, especially when Feeny comes in dressed in a Phillies uniform. A really cool plot line, but imagine how illegal/unfair this is to the other students. What made you laugh most? Cory dealing with his unruly class, Minkus and Topanga especially How about them 90's? Another baseball reference to Barry Bonds The tight leotard top with vest overlay that Eric's girlfriend is wearing ... and possible massive tie-dye situation on Shawn Cory compares Feeny to Vana White ("Wheel Of Fortune") Cory's teaching name: Hey Dude (like the TV show) Feeny's Meat Loaf sweatshirt (the musical artist, not the food, lol) Notable Quotes Amy: "Major snackage is now being served in the main dining room." Feeny: "Mi classa es su classa." Cory: "Lawrence, Topanga." Topanga: "I'm channeling. I will only answer to the name *let's out primal roar* …" Cory: "Okay, present but not all here." Overall Impression Still looking good. This feels like one of the classic episodes, along with obvious ones like 1x04. How Cory could be shocked, even at 11, that prejudice still exists today is beyond me. But I did find his turnaround and interest in "The Diary of Anne Frank" believable. Other Stuff Lindsay Price (BH90210, The Wonder Years) plays Linda, Eric's girlfriend. Lol, Cory making sure his future wife, Topanga, doesn't show up to class naked. Feeny sucks on Rolaids throughout the day to deal with his life So, Minkus knows how to make advanced paper airplanes and paper flamingos. His first name is revealed: Stuart Lesson: When there's a social injustice, it's not enough that just the people who are directly affected stand up - we all have to. No matter how good a teacher you are, there will always be some who are unreachable.

You can call me Mel. It is a re-watch, but it's been so long that I don't remember Minkus going away. Most previous re-watches have centered on S1. Heck, just wait until we get to the later seasons, if I even make it. That will be like seeing it for the first time. I think I even stopped watching at one point in the 90's, but still checked in for the Corpanga wedding, the big Angela/Shawn drama, etc. And I have zero memory of Josh as a talking/walking person.

1x09 What made you laugh most? Cory's 'plight of the middle child' expose Cory-O's cereal mock-up Morgan's shrewd trade with her friend Stephanie Minkus bringing "the wrong ball" to the baseball signing How about them 90's? Old school video camera Original My Little Pony The giant cordless phone Baseball player Jim Abbott guest stars Alan sent telegrams to Mr. Abbott Notable Quotes Shawn: "Oh, come on, Minkus, what's going to marry you?" Minkus: "We're married!" Topanga: "You're breeding stock." Minkus: "I'll take it!" Overall Impression God, this episode was funny. x5 Cory being adorably overdramatic Cory: (Takes down baseball poster) "I'll miss you, Jim, but you should be on the wall of a kid with a future. (Draws all window curtains) Eric: "What are you doing?" Cory: "There's nothing out there for me, Eric." Parallels to GMW? Minkus to Topanga: "Trust me, babe. I've seen the future and it's me." Sort of reminds me of Farkle to Riley: "You. Me. Mars. Let's do this thing." Minkus aspires to buy out Microsoft and become the largest software manufacturer in the free world. In S2's "Girl Meets Money", he's indeed making large-scale investments. But what does his company do again? Other Stuff Omg, I forgot Minkus had a crush on Topanga! How could I? Shawn's dad is a tire salesman Shawn and Cory's third friend has a name: Larry Williams Cory wants to be a center fielder for the Philadelphia Phillies when he grows up Minkus and Topanga's child will be named Rainbow Einstein. I love this show. Topanga wants to be President of the United States, in a demilitarized society where eveyone wears togas and men have been sequestered underground, only to be used for breeding. I can't … First sign of Eric being an idiot: He takes Cory's term for him being a poser to mean a model. Alan wanted to build bridges when he grew up (be an engineer). More parental kissing Lesson: Follow your dreams, but don't overlook the details of how to get there and have a back-up plan.
