No kidding. Honestly, I think it's because their "relationship" never got the proper ending. Addison just showed up and it was over. Which is why both of them keep pining for each other.

I like her and Finn together though.

You're right. She did make a genuine attempt to get over Derek, but Derek wouldn't do the same. She was starting to move on too, until Derek decided to challenge her to a staring contest in the finale.

I like the idea of Mer having to fight for Finn, Madison. Not in a "Pick me, Choose me..." sort of way. But trying to prove she's worthy of Finn. Because right now, I need to be proven why or how she's worthy of him too. And too many men grovel at her feet anyways. It would be nice to have a change of pace.

You know...that's probably a big part of it. Maybe (and that's a big maybe) after their sexcapade during the prom, they'll finally have found the closure their relationship has lacked this past season...

That's what I was hoping for, too! The "pick me, choose me..." wrote seems too, I don't know - juvenile (almost?!). As for Finn - Meredith KNEW that she was the first "real" girl after his wife passed away, and not only does she neglect to tell him anything about her history with Derek - but now Finn will learn it all in addition to finding out what happened at the prom. And he was so adorably excited to be her date!

Does Meredith want to be a stick in the mud, or does she want to actually create a future with a man who understands her flaws? I want Meredith to grovel (for once!).

I'd like that. But I doubt that'll happen.

And even if they did decide that it's officially over now...it still would've messed things up with Mere/Finn and Derek/Addison.

This is what makes it hard for me to keep up the hope for these two. From the beginning, she was misleading him, and leaving him in the dark about a lot of things, when he'd been nothing but honest and kind with her. I find that just pathetically sad...

So long as they didn't bring Olivia back into things for him, I think I'd be happy. And it's not even that I hate Olivia...I just think she's had enough romantic potential storylines for an outside character, and managed to mess up with them every single time. Don't want a repeat of that sort of thing with her again...

Just wanted to say that I've watched 2.23 and 2.24 and I think the Mer/Finn scenes are too cute. The one with the horses was lovely

Yep, I want MerDer in the long run (sorry

) but I would like to see Mer/Finn for a while, since IMO Derek doesn't deserved Meredith right now and she has left him step over her a little too much too. He needs to change his attitude and she needs to grow stronger.

So yep, I hope to see some more of them in S3 and also that, as you have already said, Finn doesn't come out as a looser. We'll see.
