I'm kind of worried about how much we'll see of Derek/Patrick after he goes to DC, since Patrick is announcing his full racing plans at the end of this week AFTER the fall finale... like there might be a reason he's waiting until the fall finale.

His racing plans shouldnt affect the show. FIA WEC season begins in April so considering, he must be free by that time as Grey's season finale shooting always end around that time. Hardest time will be in 2015 around october and november where there's more races for the WEC but the rest is just one race per month, so more or less the same schedule as his schedule for IMSA. Indeed there's less races in WEC...
And he wasnt waiting until the fall finale, in their last race in Oct at Petit Le Mans, they already announced their plans would be released in November around the LA Auto Show. I think is just councidence the fall finale and the release of his plans go the same week... __________________

Oh, so with racing he's schedule should be open.. so it's not different than other seasons.. so I don't know why he'll want less time.. or not be in every episode and lose 350K.
 I think everything is around the same time... STUPID article/storyline/plans that make us all think the same thing  |

It's the stupid article that has me worrying.
 And the fact I know nothing about racing season. Most races are on weekends anyway, so you're right -- they shouldn't affect the show. |

Not worried
 I've prepared myself for less Derek anyway because I don't see how they can connect Derek's DC storyline any more than through Meredith and Amelia and they can't be on the phone all day long |

Meredith spend so much time on the phone and facetiming with Cristina when she was away
 The question is what brings him back.. though maybe he won't move there he just take the job that required for him to travel.. |

Maybe he hadnt even thought about having limited episodes...and we all are assuming that....
#freakingoutfansmindset As I see things, Patrick wont be involved that much in the team racing at TUDOR, that would be leave to Joe and their partnership with Wright Motorsport so if that's true (and we still need to wait for the weekend and their official announcement in the LA Auto Show), he can be very present in this season of Grey's...as it had been until now! __________________

I hope they find a way to involve him. I'm not worrying about Patrick not being there but more how the writers are going to include Derek
