First of all, this isn't a shipper thread. But I've always liked their relationship. Burke was the first one to show Izzie some respect, when she wanted to say "good-bye" to her dead patient way back. She cracked open the chest of his patient while he was in the OR; he told her she saved his life. And he saved her Thanksgiving. So I've always liked their friendship.

And last night, Burke really came through for her. Even his "enemy" backed down and was willing to give up the heart after Izzie called. And she said Burke could just call the Chief to confirm it. But Burke knew something was up, and I think he didn't want Izzie in trouble.

I thought it was really sweet. And unfortunately he's paying for it now.

I made the list, and put both of us on it. I'm glad someone else likes them. In the beginning before the ships were set in place, I thought Burke and Izzie were going to get together.

Now that he's been shot cause Izzie lied I don't think he'll have her back anymore. JMO.

I don't think it's exactly fair to say it was because of Izzie. Last I saw, she wasn't firing the gun. Was it because of her that he was there? Yes. But I can't blame her for some crazy guy going trigger happy

I love the thanksgiving episode, where's he's teaching her how to do everything, and you can see how well they mesh. At the time, that episode did kinda make me wonder if they were going to have B/I get together as a twist

I've liked their friendship bonding the few times we've seen it...he's always seemed to look out for her, which is great to see. Besides, she'll need someone like him around to help her through this latest situation...would be interesting to see it be him...

That's a really good point. I never thought of that. But out of everyone, Burke might be the one who understands the most. Which is ironic b/c he tends to be one of the more ethical doctors.

Well, it looks like they'll both be unemployed for awhile. Maybe they can start a catering business together or something.

I loved them in the Thanksgiving episode and, although I was so annoyed by Izzie in the lastest episodes (well until the very end, when she won me over again), I liked when she called him Preston, he knew it was something personal... don't know if I'm making any sense...
