Any scenes? Doll, it was all about George and Izzie last night! And Alex/Addison, Der/Mer, Burke/Cristina, but seriously, George/Izzie - love! Many scenes actually! Awesome BGL episode!

God, how I wish that were true.

I found what George said to Izzie way below the belt however Izzie was pushing the boundaries a little so it wasn't really unjustified if you see what I mean. Glad they seemed to be okay with each other at the end, I kept thinking 'this better not end without some sort of apology from George' re: Denny. And I wasn't disappointed.

George was a bit harsh, IMO. Sometimes, people just push your buttons and you reach your breaking point. It happens to everybody. It was his father.

What happened with George and Izzie last night was in character for both. Here's the thing George told Izzie to stay out of it earlier in the episode, however; that was after George's mom asking questions about her son. George kept his mom and father out of the loop of his life for a year, and they were also wondering why he changed from Burke to Hahn. His parents asked her questions and her opinion. What was she suppose to do? Say no? .

From Izzie's POV it's a surprising move by George. She knows George thinks very highly of Burke, and that they are best friends. She doesn't know about the tremors, or anything. She is in the freakin' dark. Heck, she didn't know that his parents didn't know what happened with Meredith. In others words she didn't know . IMO She can't be blamed for not knowing. With everything going on George took his misplaced anger out on Izzie. Which is in George's character. He did it before in S2 to Izzie actually. It was in George's character, but I do feel he made a very hurtful, low blow to Izzie. I don't care who you are. You do not do a pot shot about your friend's dead fiancee. That is uncalled for. He discredited her in front of his parents. There were other ways to get Izzie out of that room, and that wasn't one of them. I expect that crap from Alex, Bailey, Burke, or Cristina. But not George despite how in character it was for him to have misplaced anger. It was so sad to see Izzie tear-up after he brought it up. You could seriously see her eyes welling up. Izzie was in the dark about everything. She just didn't know despite how understanding George's situation is. You just don't do that. That is something Alex or Christina would do to Izzie. Not George.

However, when all said is done George apologized. Which is great, but since he did that low pot shot he has no right now to bring up Denny to her. I would do the same thing. That that topic is off limits. IMO Izzie did nothing wrong. The questioning from Mrs. O'Malley came before George even asked her to stay out of it. She didn't push boundaries IMO . Izzie is George's roommate and very close to him. The mother knew she could talk to Izzie about her son, and why the change in surgerons. What I was pleasant surprised about was how much Izzie grown. Now S1-S2 Izzie would be pissed, and hold a big ol' grudge . In these past two episodes she did neither. She didn't show anger or a grudge aganist Alex for the kiss, and at the end of this episode despite feeling betrayed(that was one of the themes of this episode) by George. She still sat down next to him, and said she would accept his apology tomorrow. The first seasons Izzie would not do that at all. It shows how much she has grown, and that she didn't use her intense anger voice. IMO that shows a lot how much her character has grown and mature .

I really loved Mrs. O'Malley . She reminded me of Izzie a little especially when she said she brought her iron . Both Izzie and Mrs. O'Malley gossip . Both have blond hair, and heck she even gave another foreshadowing of BGL . I also liked when Mr. O'Malley came down on his son when George yelled at Izzie. That nice. The O'Malley's like Izzie .

I agree, last night's episode was ALL OVER the George/Izzie. My take on the big fight -- it was absolutely awful of George to do that to her, but in defense of his actions, Izzie had inadvertantly convinced his parents to want Burke to operate. Bringing up Denny was a desperate knee-jerk attempt to discredit what Izzie had said in the eyes of his parents--ie, Izzie says Burke's the best, but Izzie's on probation because she did this horrible, undoctorly thing for which she's been labelled incompetent. It was OBVIOUS that he felt awful for it for the remainder of the episode, especially when he's sitting in the stairwell alone. (Compare to last ep -- George is sitting with Izzie, then Meredith joins them.)

When George's mom says, "so, nothing sexual?" and Izzie replies "no", what was everyone's interpretations? Was it a "I would NEVER think of George that way" no, or a "You think George and I what?" no, or a "I've got a dead fiancee, kthnxbie" no?

The last scene was very touching. Izzie was obviously very, very hurt by what George said, but I love that there is not much they can't forgive each other for. The trust and understanding that demonstrates makes me amazed more people don't ship them as a couple. Maybe George and Izzie are going to be the anti-Meredith and Derek -- sex could come last for them. I don't know. Just a thought. I've always felt everything that happens with them is a part of a bigger story we have yet to be made aware of.

Last night was all about the couples. We have alot of Meredith/Derek and Christina/Burke. The they focuses alot on it seems like the begining of an Alex/Addison relationship and then the friendship and the strong intesenses connection of George/Izzie i was giddy by the end!
