This past summer has not been kind to me in any way, but I've made it through it. We will finally be able to put my Aunt to rest Saturday thanks to Hurricane Sally. The ground has been too wet to bury her before. My mom hasn't been in the best health and with all that has been happening neither has mine. Top that off with old demons from my past trying to cause an unwanted appearance and life has been hell recently. Therefore, this poem is definitely on a different note than anything I have ever written before.



Demons

"You don't have to do it alone"
Yes I do
The demons that I fight
Have nothing to do with you
You will never understand
The demons that rip my soul
You will never understand
Why I won't be whole
The demons raise their head
And bare their teeth
The scars left behind
Run very deep
I know the demons are there
And won't ever go away
But with God given strength
I know how to keep them at bay

Yes. It's great to see her singing again...something different is what I mean. I will be so glad when things can be close to the way they were because she is a genuine person who I think is also the type that that just always gives a hug. It comes natural for her. I know it does for me. In my little town there is one store that I go to and I don't go or leave without a hug from certain people who work there. I worked there at one point and there is only one person left there that I worked with, but I know everyone else, so it doesn't matter. Kelly srikes me as a person who shows genuine affection and caring.

Yesterday made 6 years ago that I lost my cousin, who was only 30, to chemo and not breast cancer. She only had 2 treatments, but her system was already compromised.

Blood or Water


She feels torn
On one hand she loves you
