I thought it was a good episode! Heck I am still trying to collect my thoughts!

I was shocked by what happened to Edie...I think most of us have known about it....mainly because it seemed every news site got a hold of it (grrr) but it was still shocking and a part of me hopes that Edie won't die...

How many episodes until the finale?

That stinks.

I have one question. Do we know for sure that Mike was driving the car that killed Dave's family? We know he said he did it and everyone thinks he did but Susan HAS to tie into this somehow. I can't help but wonder if a big revel will be that Mike took the fall and she was really the driver...maybe I am reaching but who knows.

Plus I thought Dave's original plan was to go after MJ?

No Katie, I totally think that's what is going to happen. I'm sure of it.

Go after MJ?!

Well, to me, I thought the whole point was to take from Mike what Mike took from him, which would be a wife and a child. Since Dave has ruled Susan out and has chosen Katherine, there is still the void of taking a child from Mike.

Glad to see I am not the only one who thinks Susan was the driver! It would make so much sense considering how much more badly she took the accident than Mike.

I watched the first scene from 5x01 like 10x's to see if they did show us who was driving - and you can't make it out. It's totally edited to leave you thrown off. So, it makes sense to have the inevitable plot twist, and have Dave go after Susan - and then, Jackson to the rescue! *nods*

Yeah, when I first saw the premiere, I just assumed that Mike was driving, but when everyone started thinking Susan might be driving, I watched that part again and saw that you can't tell who was driving.

They just show them walking to the car, and then you can't see who was driving, and then the crash, and you see Susan crawl out, and Mike on the ground.

Quotes:

Quote:
Mary Alice: (closing voiceover) Yes, life is full of nasty shocks. And they always seem to occur when we least expect them. And once our system has been jolted, the question becomes will we survive?

Karl: What are you doing here?
Susan: I am an art teacher.
Karl: Really? Do they know that?

Karl: Can I bang your erasers after class?
Susan: Karl, I'm serious. Don't mess with me. I have a yardstick and I'm not afraid to use it.

Carlos: By the way, you and Tom are coming over for cocktails on Saturday?
Lynette: Oh yeah. I plan to get drunk and bitch about my boss.

Gabrielle: Hey, how about a quickie?
Carlos: I don't have time.
Gabrielle: Right, that's why I didn't suggest a longie.

Gabrielle: We'll start with something easier. Bitching.
Tom: I can handle that, bitch away.
Gabrielle: Well. I am so pissed at Carlos. He is never home. And when he is he's too tired to do anything. And by anything I mean sex. Are you uncomfortable?
Tom: A little. Go on.
Gabrielle: Well we've never had a drought like this. It's been almost two weeks.
Tom: Two weeks? That's a drought for you?

Lucy: (to Lynette) Next time you have an issue with me, you know where my office is. Oh, and as far as Friday nights are concerned, consider that a permanent work night. Don't worry. If you're as bad at coaching as you are at office politics, your daughter won't be missing much.

Orson: Bree. What about my problem? I might start stealing again.
Bree: Steal what you must, my love, but it won't be my company.

Edie: (Giving the bag from the supermarket to Mrs. McCluskey) Here you go. the rest is yours.
Mrs. McCluskey: Thanks, I don't know what it is but everytime I go to the market there's stuff I forget.
Edie: I know what it is... You're old!

Carlos: We never did it on the table.
Gabrielle: Yeah, we did! Years ago, don't you remember?
Carlos: I don't think that was me...
Gabrielle: Oh, right...

Lucy: Damm it! Lynette, don't, don't touch my figurines! These are worth more than the house that you live in.
Lynette: (Whispering) Big deal... so is this coffee mug.

Count me in as someone who also thought Susan was the driver. The way she fought with him sounded more like someone who did it, the driving... the way she acted would have been downright cruel if she was just a passenger and he was the driver.

Man, i've never been Edie's hugest fan (always liked her, though), but I thought the "death" was a little bit ridiculous. It kind of reminded me when they killed of "Chef" in South Park because the actor criticized the show. I mean, they have her husband seriously choke her, she runs into a telephone pole, the wire falls, and THEN she gets electrocuted? A bit over the top, IMHO.

I don't think the show will be the same without her.

Oh, and i've never liked Orson, and that dislike is steadily growing. KM is a fantastic actor, though.

I knew Edie's death would be over-the-top, but I felt that was fitting to her character. To go out in a blaze of glory, so to speak.

I also agree, Susan's distraught nature in 5x01 definetly felt like she had more responsibility - possibly being the driver. I totally think she was.

I'm all caught up.

I'm glad Bree didn't sell her business. I thought that very unfair of Orson to ask/expect. I think they are done too. And despite saying what I did about Orson, Bree has contributed alot to the demise of their marriage. I do sort of understand where Orson is coming from. They are both at fault and I really don't know that it can be fixed right now.

The Gaby/Tom scene was great.

Lynette was awesome.

Mel - So glad you caught up

Yeah, I agree - the B&O split is definetly on both ends. And it seems that's exactly what is going to happen. Sad and unfortunate, honestly.

Gaby/Tom amused me too.

I know, but the next episode... is very much Edie-centric, so make sure to tune in next Sunday

Yeah, it's too bad as I really liked Bree/Orson.

This Sunday is a new episode?
