The Desi's...no wait The Emmy's: Emmy Nomination Thread
Well by now you all have probably heard about how AD racked up a great amount of Emmy Nominations yesterday. Especially for being a lower rated new show. Kudos to all involved and lets all hope for some wins. Nominations alone are gonna call some well deserved attention to our show.
Heres the lowdown. Good to see the show overall got nominated over something like Friends. Especially since it was in its last season. I think more individuals should have been nominated but I am happy with 7 nominations. Should direct some attention towards the show.

Yeah, I was scared that AD would get crowded out by old shows like Friends. I mean, it is their last season and I used to love Friends so much, but they didn't deserve a nomination this time, considering how poor and unfunny this season was. I still have no idea why Will and Grace got nominated, though.

How awesome would it be if the show managed to win Outstanding Comedy Series? I would be on cloud nine for months.

I'm glad that AD had so many nominations the first time around.
I think JT does have a chance. Sean Hayes and DHP have won more than once. The ELR actors might cancel each other out. Plus, JT is a well respected vet. He has some chance, IMO. I wish Jason Bateman had been nominated for Best Actor though. __________________

I definately think that this show deserved way more than just one nomination in the acting categories. The performances of the wonderful cast and guest stars far surpassed anything I've seen from other shows.

You're right. I singled out JB b/c he's the lead. But really any of the actors who have appeared could have gotten a nom.
But then again, I guess they can't fill the guest actor categories with 5 or 6 people from one show.  __________________

Actually I think the technical Emmys were televised. I can't remember which cable network showed them though. It may have been E!

I didn't even know that casting category existed! Let's hope they score more this Sunday.
MSN.com' Emmy predictions page feels that AD and JT should win, but don't think they will 'cause of the stupid voters. __________________
