Question: On the Arrested Development website it says "Returns This Summer." Do you know if that means new episodes or just repeats of Season 2? Honestly, I would be happy with the repeats, but I think it would be amazing (not to mention a good idea for Fox) to show at least a short new summer season of AD. — Dave Matt: Nice idea, but they'd have to be in production already for that to happen, and that's not the case. I'm sure they're talking about repeats, and the more the merrier as far as I'm concerned. Another AD fan, Georgia, wrote this: "Like Curb Your Enthusiasm and Seinfeld, AD is one of the few comedies that are even better when you rewatch an episode. You see jokes you missed, see how they build the plot etc. What do you think of the idea of Fox 'repurposing' episodes the same week on FX or on Fox or somewhere else, like HBO does? They could do back-to-backs on FX. I believe if more people saw an episode more than once they would appreciate the brilliant comedy... it works for Curb and is not unprecedented on FX (Nip/Tuck, Rescue Me and The Shield are all seen more than once a week.)" I agree that the more exposure Arrested Development gets, the better its chances of one day attracting a larger and more appreciative audience. Using cable sounds right, but I imagine that when the show is in first run (if it even gets that third season), Fox affiliates would not be that supportive of the show getting an extra run on cable, if that meant fewer viewers were inclined to watch it on Fox.

Sadly, it hasn't been announced if it will be released yet. If it does get released it will most likely be out this fall.

I seem to recall reading someone on TWoP saying that they knew someone who had heard that the DVDs were coming out in November....but it wasn't exactly a credibly source or anything.
