Here we go!

Pilot. Part one.

An eye opens. Jack wakes up. Vincent comes and then runs away.
Jack runs to the beach and the screaming starts.

Great beginning to start with silence before the screaming starts!

There is plane wreckage and lots of panic.
Jack takes charge of helping people. He is a doctor.
There is a pregnant lady called Claire.
Boone wants to help so Jack asks him to look for some pens.

Jack has injuries and goes off on his own. Kate finds him and helps to sew him up.

There is a mysterious guy smoking a cigarette. He turns out to be called Sawyer.

Sayid and Charlie help with the fire.

Jack tells Kate about a mistake he made during an operation and how scared he was. He only allowed himself to be scared for 5 seconds.

The survivors talk to each other and get to know each other. Great scenes.

There are noises coming from the jungle. People wonder what they are.

Flashback to the crash from Jack's point of view.

Jack, Charlie and Kate go to search for more wreckage. It rains.
They find some wreckage and the pilot, who is still alive. Exciting scenes.

The thing (Smoke Monster) attacks the group and the pilot dies in a tree.
Kate remembers Jack's story and counts to five.

Kate finds Jack and is relieved.

Great pilot. It made me want to find out more about the characters and story.

Pilot. Part Two.

Jack, Kate and Charlie walk through the jungle.

Charlie's flashback of the crash: He goes into the toilet cubicle to take drugs, the plane staff go after him but the plane crashes while he is still in there.

I think the flashbacks are very effective. I like the fact that we find out about the characters bit by bit.

The people on the beach continue to get to know each other.

Sawyer and Sayid are having a fight because Sawyer claims Sayid was the person in handcuffs.

Sayid talks to Kate about the transceiver and how they can try to get a signal.

Kate talks to Jack about the marshal, Edward Mars. She tells Jack that she is going on a hike to try to get the transceiver working. Jack tries to persuade her not to go but she is going anyway.

Jin and Sun are preparing food. Jin offers some to Hurley but he refuses it. I thought that was very rude of Hurley.

Michael tries to talk to Walt as a father but he isn't successful.

Charlie takes some of his drugs.

Boone and Shannon talk. They argue which pushes Shannon into going on the hike with Kate, Sayid, Charlie and Boone.

Sawyer reads a letter and seems very disturbed about it. I feel bad for him.

Sawyer joins the others on the hike. They all climb a hill.

Jack tells Michael he has seen Vincent the dog in the jungle.

Locke tells Walt about backgammon. Locke seems creepy.

Jin offers food to Claire which she accepts eventually. She feels the baby move at last. Jin doesn't want to touch Claire's belly so he leaves.

I like Sun and Jin in these early episodes. It was interesting when they had a different culture to the other characters.

Sawyer and Sayid continue to be hostile with each other. Suddenly the group hears a noise and a polar bear comes crashing towards them. Sawyer stands there and shoots a gun a few times before shooting the bear.

Hurley helps Jack with Edward Mars. Hurley is afraid of blood so he faints.

The hike group argue about the gun which Sawyer took from the marshal. Sawyer and Kate argue and he grabs her arm. People think Kate is the best person to hold the gun.

We see Kate's crash flashback. She is the prisoner.

The marshal asks Jack "where is she?"

Sawyer and Sayid argue about the radio. It begins to work! There is a woman's voice speaking French and a voice counting down in English.
Shannon manages to translate the French. The woman is saying that she is alone and wants help. "They're dead" and "it killed them all".
Sayid works out from the countdown that the French lady sent that message 16 years ago.

Charlie says "guys, where are we?" Creepy.

THE END.

Great pilot. It left me wanting to watch the next episode.

Locke was very creepy in most episodes.

I love love love the pilot! I sometimes will watch it just as sort of like a movie.

I love watching the pilot after knowing the end. It's fun to see how the characters evolved, how they stayed the same. Like, Jack never wanted to be a leader, but immediately he was made one. Everyone was so mysterious. It's so fun!

I finally got to watch the series finale for the first time. I love the way they showed everyone in church greeting each other as Jack was walking through the jungle for the final time. His last scene laying down and Vincent coming to him was just the way the show started. This series was terrific, I don't know why I didn't watch sooner.

I know, he was so despicable but a great actor. I also thought Locke was fantastic too. I thought Sawyer had so many great one liners.
