I think it's a direct parallel where this time Rumple is able to fight. He physically couldn't the last time but as we see in the promo for the next episode, Merida is going to teach him to sword fight even with his limp.

I think Killian will be in the wrong because he will be tied to the DO curse now that his name is on the sword and the DO is watching the fight. But I don't think he will be doing anything evil. I think he will be just trying to run off with Emma on the JR because destroying the DO curse may involve destroying Emma.

Honestly, I think the fact that Arthur did the magical equivalent of drugging his wife and has been doing whatever without her consent for five years real time makes me a bit squiky about a quick redemption arc. If they took the time to do it right, perhaps (a la Regina or Rumple or Hook) but I don't see how they'll have the time...

It's actually not much different than what Rumple did to Belle in the AU. I find Arthur and Rumple very similar. Maybe as someone said earlier, the top half of Excalibur actually curses someone too.

Actually I believe A&E have said the Author wrote the AU so there's nothing to indicate that Rumple told the Author to write Belle as loving him.

I think he probably figured they were married in this world so he had them married in the AU.

I think that Rumple's comments to Belle in the finale indicated that he was responsible for Belle being with him in the AU. It's not hate on Rumple. Just an observation what lengths the curse can drive someone.

All he said was that they were happy. He didn't say he made them that way.

He said he wanted a happy ending. Then when Belle accused him, he didn't deny it but said they were happy. We know he answered specific questions about Baelfire. Why is it so hard to accept that he did the same about Belle?
