Mark Schwahn, May 2nd - '07
"I think basketball is the backdrop of this show, it’s sort of our home base. The show is never about basketball but I just think that that suit the brothers were in and it feels like that will still be a player if we jump ahead. As will the music storyline with Haley and Peyton, the fashion storyline with Brooke, because I feel like…you know, I have a room full of writers who see this as the chance to rewrite a pilot and rewrite a show with characters that the audience is familiar with. And while that’s certainly true, I do think that there has to be some certain familiarity with the world because you’re taking this big leap ahead. But I think the characters, they could have strayed and then certainly one or two of them will be ghastly different than who we knew them as in high school but there also has to be an anchor to the world. There has to be something that is familiar to the audience and I think that we’ll see that with some of the characters as well."

Sophia Bush, June 7th - '07
"I'm home now, getting ready to go back to Wilmington in a few weeks to start season 5. It’s going to be really fun. We’ve got really interesting things coming up for this one so I think it will be even more fun than 4."

August 26th - '07
"S5 is jumping 4 years ahead after we’ve all gotten out of College. So it’s very interesting. It’s a bit of a puzzle for everybody to put together and have to figure out why everyone is where they are. I believe we start airing in January but we’re already well in filming the season. The only thing that I know is that my clothing line is going well, Brooke’s clothing line. So it’s really all the information I can give you without being accosted by my producers."

December - '07
"Brooke Davis has only had to take her clothes of once this season. I haven't kissed anybody, all year. For the record."

Your character in twenty years?
"I think that Brooke sort of dreams of continuing to have a career that is fulfilling but I think the thing that is gonna matter the most to her in 20 years is to have a family and a life. Because those are the things she really missed out on and I think you generally experience when someone has not had the most wonderful life at home that they really want to give that to their family and to their kids. I think that Brooke will be one of those women who end up being as good of a mom as a mogul."

Chad Michael Murray, June 12th - '07
"We're aging four years and I'm still four years older than my character. At this point, I know Lucas has put out a book. It's been semi-successful. Everybody's awaiting the release of his second book, but he's having a difficulty, kinda being honest with himself. And I think he needs to come back to Tree Hill and figure that out amongest his friends before he hurts anybody or does anything improper. That's my belief. And I know that he's now going to be the coach of the Ravens and he will mentor an 18 year old kid who's probably on the wrong side of the tracks. That's all I know right now, we start filiming on the 18th of July."

December - '07
Your character in twenty years?
"Lucas in 20 years will be a therapist in my humble opinion. His second book is going to fail miserably or it’s gonna open up the minds of everybody but what they are gonna realize is for the past 4 years or now 5 he just gonna sit and listen to peoples problem and then deals with them and says ‘how do you feel about that?’. He becomes a therapist."

"One Tree Hill" returns for season five with a special two-hour premiere on Tuesday, January 8 (8:00-10:00 p.m. ET). Subsequent episodes will take over the 9:00-10:00 p.m. ET timeslot beginning Tuesday, January 15, following an encore presentation of "Crowned: The Mother of All Pageants."

The fifth season will be unprecedented in the annals of television drama, as the show leaps forward four years. Season four ended as the young characters graduated high school and season five begins, post-college, four years later. Some of the characters have found success while others have failed. Some are the same, some are very different. And while their storylines will actively move forward, the show will also dip into the past, returning to incidents and events of the last four years, sometimes for a moment or a scene, other times for an entire episode.

Due to the fact of a midseason premiere we're going to be swamped with spoilers for the filmed episodes. We’ve already have a massive amount of pictures, sides/dialogues and other spoilers so we’ve decided to make an entirely livejournal called the Brucas League LJ dedicated to Brooke & Lucas spoilers and all other related material. If you can't find what you're looking for on this thread chances are you'll find it at our LJ.

It is confirmed. Victoria (formerly known as Lydia in the sides) who works for Brooke is also Brooke's mother.

Jackson Brundage has been cast as Jamie Scott as in NH's son and Lucas nephew/Godson and Brooke's Godson.

Daphne Zuniga has been cast as Lydia (according to the callsheet for 5.05 she is now named Victoria). She's doing five episodes as a "glamorous and intimidating" business exec who works with Brooke.

Michaela McManus has been cast as Lindsey. She'll be doing a multi-episode arc playing a "tough but kind" New York editor assigned to work on Lucas' novel.

Torrey DeVitto has been cast as Carrie. She will be hired as a nanny looking after Nathan and Haley's son, James.

Joe Manganiello has been cast as Owen, a bartender who works at Tric and seems to be a new love interest for Brooke.

Lisa Goldstein has been cast as Millicent, Brooke's assistant

Episode 5.06
"Don't Dream It's Over"
Written by: Mark Schwahn & Directed by: Tom Wright

CONFRONTATION ALL AROUND
Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) confronts Peyton (Hilarie Burton) about her harsh treatment of Lindsey (guest star Michaela McManus, “The Beautiful Lie”). Brooke (Sophia Bush) intervenes when Victoria (guest star Daphne Zuniga, “Melrose Place”) meddles with Peyton’s record label. Nathan (James Lafferty) grows closer to Jamie’s (guest star Jackson Brundage) live-in nanny, Carrie (guest star Torrey DeVitto, “Beautiful People”), while Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) is challenged by her difficult student Quentin (guest star Robbie Jones). Mouth (Lee Norris) is torn between loyalty to his co-workers and his illicit affair with his boss Alice (guest star Kelly Collins Lintz, “Surface”). Antwon Tanner also stars. Thomas J. Wright directed the episode written by Mark Schwahn

They're filming at C/B. I just got back from downtown....they're filming right now and one of the crew guys said they had some night shots to do...so they'd be there a while longer. they were getting ready for that...like setting up and stuff. I saw sophia..we were walking up to talk to her but she was talking with some other people then had to go back inside...and hilary was there too and we saw daphne....i don't know if anyone else was there though...but i did see the 3 of them.
Credit: jumpingforjoy @ othforums.com

One of my friends had a speaking role that he filmed today, so i am assuming it was on set. He is an actor. I know about the scene and the whole episode, but don't want to give anything away. It isn't 'Owen' from the 5.06 side. The side for my friend's character is not on the internet as far as I know. His scene only involves one cast member, but that's all i can say.
Credit: capefear @ othforums.com

I actually live in Wilmington and caught a small scene they were shooting at what was previously Karen's Cafe. it's now Clothes Over Bros. Brooke walks out of the store with Peyton following her, and Peyton says "stop being such a bitch to your daughter!" then they had a conversation.
Credit: rockstr009 @ theJJB.com

They filmed a scene where the main 5 and one other new character filmed a scene around a table all day so dont know what that was about just that it was shot .I actually dont know who the sixth person was i was just told that hilarie, chad, soph, james, and joy were there and another new character. I am not sure if any drama happens but knowing this show i doubt they would film a dinner scene with all of them and not have some sort of drama. If I find out anything else I will post it though. Apparently its a dinner scene and a lot of dialogue which is why it took all day to shoot.

Episode 5.07
"In Da Club"
Written by: Mike Herro and David Strauss & Directed by: Greg Prange

KEVIN FEDERLINE RETURNS AND MUSICAL GROUP THE HONORARY TITLE PERFORM AT TRIC
It’s a Tree Hill reunion as the entire gang gathers at Tric to see The Honorary Title perform. While Peyton (Hilarie Burton) and Haley (Bethany JoyGaleotti) see this as an opportunity to introduce their musical act, Carrie (guest star Torrey DeVitto, “Beautiful People”) sees it as a chance to get closer to Nathan (JamesLafferty). Brooke (Sophia Bush) forces an unsuspecting Mouth (Lee Norris) to go on a blind date with Millicent (guest star Lisa Goldstein). Lindsey (guest star Michaela McManus, “The Beautiful Lie”) confronts Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) about sneaking off to see Peyton. Antwon Tanner also stars. Greg Prange directed the episode written by Mike Herro and David Strauss

Timeline
Scene 12Carrie approaches Nathan and asks what he and Lucas have been talking about. He says exes. Carrie wants to know if he means girlfriends or wives.
Scene 14 At Tric. Brooke talking with the bartender Owen. Peyton sits down next to Brooke and Brooke tells her she bets she (Brooke) and Owen have sex right there on the bar. Peyon points out to Brooke's mom is also at the bar all "****ted up".

Filming on Friday October 5th. The only actors that were there that were familiar were Sophia, Hilarie, and Lee. We just wandered around the bar in the first 2 scenes and they were just between Hilarie, Sophia, and one of the new actresses, plus a bartender. And then in the next few scenes, I know it was Sophia introducing Lee to her assistant and trying to hook them up (during this, I had to dance right behind them to no music, it was kinda ridiculous lol) I was there for about 12 hours so it was a pretty long day and it seems that they all will be.
Credit: Princessbm @ othforums.com

More info about the filming on October 5th. The person I asked had no idea who played Owen but he was the bartender and the character's name was Owen. She said he was cute but not an actor she recongnized from anything else. In the first scene they filmed Brooke and Peyton were at the bar with a new actress, but she seemed way too young to be Brooke's mom. Someone else said to her that she was Nathan and Haley's babysitter or Lucas girlfriend. But she thought maybe she could be Brooke's assistant but she didn't see her face so it was hard to tell. But Brooke's assistant was in a later scene, but wearing different clothes because it was a different day, Brooke was trying to hook her and Mouth up. She said this week Monday (today)-Friday they're gonna continue filming scenes at Tric with extras. They are all gonna be scenes at the same day because they have to wear the same clothes every day this week.

Brooke and Peyton have a conversation about LP in this episode.
Okay well apparently some stuff has been blown out of proportion. I didn’t quote Brooke for the fact that I wasn’t on set so I didn’t hear any dialogue. I talked to some more extra’s and Brooke said something like you two are Lucas and Peyton, your supposed to be together. That was the jist of her conversation with Peyton.

As far as the BL scene, it’s a short scene where Lucas talks to Brooke about Peyton and Lindsey.
Credit: TSOneTreeHillz

Peyton admits that she came home to TH because of Lucas, and Brooke is kinda like, "Yeah, I know. That was obvious. I could tell the first time I saw your face at the airport." After Brooke's pro-LP speech, they hug at the end of this scene. After Peyton admits that she came back to Tree Hill for Lucas she asks Brooke why she came back and she said "for you" as in for Peyton then the scene goes on as written above.

Owen is not a random, he is not a Nick, or a Felix or a Chase. He is a good guy and he will be sticking around for a while, no official word on how long though. Also, Brooke's mom is a ****. She makes Brooke feel very uncomfortable when she starts dancing on younger guys at Tric. Lindsey dyed her hair blonde...yes, thats right and its Peyton's exact shade.
Credit: TSOneTreeHillz

Lucas actually asks Brooke for a favor. He has been trying to get Lindsey and Peyton to be friends, and he asks Brooke for help with this. Brooke's hesitant, because although she likes Lindsey, Peyton is her best friend. She says that if it involves flirting with bartenders, then she can do it.
Credit: Curlyhead

In the BP conversation one of Brooke's lines is "You're Peyton Sawyer, he wrote a freaking book about how much he loves you!"
Also, Mouth and Alice got into a fight. And I finally got a view of Brooke's mom, she definitely was ****ted up and they got into fight too, it was pretty funny. Just animosity about being mother and daughter.
Credit: anonymous source

So today we went by Tric and they were (and are still) filming so we talked to some extra's. Apparently there is a Alice/Mouth scene as well as a Brooke/Peyton scene. In the BP scene Brooke is being very pro-LP and tells Peyton that Peyton and Lucas are meant to be and she needs to go get her man back and next time when he proposes she better say yes.

Brooke did not say quote unquote "lp are meant to be". That was mine and Taylor's paraphrasing of what we heard. She did not use those words.
Credit: ErinLovesOTH

Brooke/Victoria scene: Victoria tells her daughter that she has lost her way ever since she has come back to Tree Hill. Victoria does not understand why Brooke wanted to come back to TH. Brooke says she is happy with her life there because she is with her friends. Victoria says they are not her friends b/c friends wouldn't use her. Brooke denies this acusation and retorts that mothers shouldn't use their daughters. She also comments that Brooke's company was struggling before she came along and helped her in NY.Brooke walks away to the bar for a drink.
Credit: Curlyhead

Haley and Nathan are talking at the bar. Brooke walks up to NH complaining about her mom. Haley replies back, "Hey, I'm a mom too." Brooke says that doesn't count b/c she was married and pregnant by the time she graduated high school, so she will be in a home by the time she turns 35. I don't think Brooke was insulting Haley. I think it was just supposed to be funny. Brooke walks away and Haley then tells Nathan she has to go backstage.

Episode 5.08
"Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want"
Written by: Mike Daniels? & Directed by: ?

There is a scene in Brooke's store. Jamie. Haley and Brooke. Haley brings Jamie for Brooke to babysit.

Episode 5.09
"For Tonight You're Only Here To Know"

There will come a point when Haley, Peyton, Brooke, Lindsey, and Mia are going to have to find themselves trapped in the library.

One scene they filmed was with Sophia, Hilarie and two new girls. They filmed at school, in the library. One of the girls there had dark brown hair and it was kinda short .

Episode 5.10
"Running To Stand Still"

Episode 5.11
"You're Gonna Need Someone On Your Side"
Written by: ? & Directed by: Michael J. Leone?

Chase will return to the show.

In order to help Peyton get over Lucas, Brooke sets her up on a blind date. Owen and Brooke go with Peyton on the date. Unbeknownst to them all, the guy turns out to be Chase.
Credit: Taylor

On December 6th they filmed in Durham, NC at Macy’s. CS didn't film any scenes together alone but they filmed together but with other people (group scenes). Brooke, Owen, Lucas, Lindsey & Bevin had a scene together. Brooke, Owen & her mom also had a scene together. Brooke, Owen, Lucas & Bevin had a scene together. In that scene Bevin did most of the talking.

None of these extras could see anything "romantic" between Owen/Brooke they just filmed scenes together talking, nothing that made them look like an actual couple.

Episode 5.12
"Hundred"
Written by: Mark Schwahn? & Directed by: Les Butler?

The BL scene about the baby was filmed. but an alternate scene was filmed too. I don't mean another BL scene was filmed. There is only one BL scene filmed and it's about the sperm. In the alternate scene filmed for Brooke's baby storyline Brooke is asking Mouth, and not Lucas, to give her a baby, because he is her best friend.
Credit: Manu

We are told that the last scene in the last episode will include all the cast members... and will have an interesting ending.
Credit: onetreehillfans.com

Lee/Sophia filmed a scene at COB. I don't know which date, but it was for 5.12
Credit: Curlyhead

Carrie kidnaps Jamie, but Dan saves him. Lindsey leaves Lucas at the altar.
Credit: MT

For the LL wedding Brooke is in a knee length purple strapless dress. Lucas is in a black suit with a white satan tie.
Credit: TSOneTreeHillz

Michaela wrapped filming yesterday (December 14th). She's gone for good.
Credit: ErinLovesOTH

The extra days were long and somewhat exciting. We started off by filming Haley walking down the isle as the maid of honor, next was Jamie as the ring bearer, Lily as the flower girl and finally Lindsey walked down the isle to “Here Comes the Bride”. We did various takes and angles of these people continuously making their way down the isle. Next we filmed the scene where Lindsey runs out of the church, and she does in fact run, and Haley runs out after her. Lucas stands there a little dumbfounded and looks quite hurt in his facial reaction. We also filmed the scene wear Peyton gets up and tells him she loves him and gives him the whole speech, the extra’s were asked to act surprised and then normal again when the camera pans back to Lucas b/c it is in fact a dream sequence.

We also filmed a scene where Peyton has a “dream” or it is considered a dream sequence. The extras were asked to stand right outside of the door to throw birdseed up in the air. I thought it would be Lucas and Lindsey of coarse but it happened to be Lucas and Peyton and Haley and Brooke both are there as Peyton’s bridesmaids in matching teal dresses. Peyton kisses Brooke on the cheek and her and Lucas ride away together. Hilarie also filmed a short scene where she just sat in her car outside of the church “thinking” this could be when this dream comes to light.
Credit: TSOneTreeHillz

The sperm baby storyline starts in 512. I know the sperm thing is set to happen as in she asks him and we never hear Lucas's answer and its unresolved at the end like everything else. There is absolutely no closure in 512, it ends in all cliffhangers.

Thanks for the new thread Roxi . Love the title

Eva I hope you feel better. I did wonder where you were

I completely agree with Eva. Brooke is so obviously still in love with him. And that line that you bolded, that she says when she gets back and Victoria is there is the key for me. And then when she agrees to go with Victoria's plans it looks like once again she is throwing herself into work to get over him all over again. I loved that. I was worried we were not going to get anything but we got much more than I thought possible

And CS were totally great. I take back my first reaction to the carriage scene, when I watch it now and when you see it all put together it looks so much better. Like you said I think it is because we all imagined it differently.

There was some definite foreshadowing imo about the baby storyline, with Lucas wanting a family. Just one more reason why I think he will say yes to Brooke when she asks him, which I still believe she will do.

Even my brother who watched it with me and kinda edges towards LP turned to me and said well that opens it all up again, Lucas is going to end with Brooke. I was kinda shocked. But the fact that he thought that and isn't particularly a BL fan certainly cheered me up.

And I wanna say that NH scene about how Haley help Nathan with his dream imo is also foreshadowing. Like Brooke helped Lucas get through all that mess and make him believe in himself.

She's totally in love with him.

Totally agree. Maybe it's not so obvious in the present day scenes, but in the flashbacks there is no doubt about it. Maybe Lucas was on the rebound when he kissed her, and sure he was drunk, but perhaps on some level he wanted to kiss Brooke, maybe there were some feelings still there.

That BL scene broke my heart. Where she tells him he won't be seeing her for a long time. Like it's too hard for her to see him and she needs to get away from him, throw herself into her work and get over him all over again.

It's so sad that she was willing to give it all up, for him. If only he knew.

When Brooke said to Lucas about throwing himself into his work and then going after Peyton again and if they were meant to be then they would find their way back together I think she was definitely thinking about herself and Lucas. She threw herself into her work and figured if her and Lucas were meant to be he would come after her.

im so I missed last nights eppy. My daughter has a virus, but after seeing how it was so much LP I feel better about it. Anyways I wish I could just have the BL scenes on tape since they sound good except 4 the lp mentions. I am a little confused though why would Mark show us Peyton backburning Lucas for her career and show that Brooke would give everything she worked for up for Lucas. If LP is endgame this sure isnt the way to show them as some type of great love. He has never imo shown them in a good light but with this last eppy to have the comparisons the way he did is telling.

The LP stuff wasn't bad at all to me. It only showed they can't sacrifice for each other, she's not there when his dreams come true, that it isn't real love, specially when he walks away in the morning, another time when he didn't fight for Peyton at all as usual. He only wanted to have what NH have, Peyton said no, he left her. Simple.

Hey again guys!

I'm back after some more hours of sleep. God being sick is so boring!

I made some BL animations from 505.

I posted the part below in the main BL thread because those guys who are not spoiled are very sad right now about Brooke in the last present BL scene. I can see why because for them it's a shock and they're just now realizing Brooke is gonna go all pro-LP while we have known for months and kinda you know have time to let all that unplesant stuff kinda melt away a bit. It's not has aggravating as it was when we first heard it like 5 months ago or however long it was.

The BL scenes were but I can see why people got really sad about the last present scene....but being a spoiler whore I've known for moths which direction Brooke would be taking regarding LP. unfortuately it's nothing we can do about it, it just how its gonna be this season. But that doesnt mean she still doesnt have feelingfor him... it just means she's gonna support LP because she they both love the other, you know. Brooke would never ever pull a stunt like Peyton did knowing P had feelings for Luke which is obvious. I think BL can only happen after LP get their whatever try it is and maybe realize this is not what they want.. that something is missing and for Luke that should be Brooke. She is the one person who has always been there for him... of course he's probably not gonna realize that until/if LP gets back together. LOL.

By the way Mark really has a fun way of showing LP are meant to be... I mean Brooke was ready to lose it all for Luke while Peyton coulsn't give up on anything for the guy she is supposedly in love with, yeah that sounds totally right And Luke of course proposed for all the wrong reasons... I will never ever see why LP should be meant to be together and just because everyone in Tree Hill seems to tell them they are doesnt mean when they get back together they will be... I just dont see it.

Such a huge difference about what BL brings to the screen compared to LP.
