My anime and video games collect is ridiculous. I share with my brother so we put in a lot of money into those box sets. Some of them I haven't watch yet.

The only reason he is big because of Star wars. I never really liked him.

My brother and I like anime together. He doesn't live at home now (doesn't mean when he comes he doesn't try to steal mine) and he is clueless as to how to get animes . Well, cheaper than amazon that is.

I lost respect for Darth Vader after watching him in Star Wars. Darth Vader was one of my favorites about the original trilogy. I was outraged that they replaced the original actor with Hayden at the closing scene in ROTJ.

My brother was the one who got me into anime. I used to think they were just cartoon but anime is so much more than that.

My brother got me into animes too. I used to just like Disney but animes were a lot more complex and interesting. Definitely not all fairy tales.

But it's hard to get people out of the mindset of just kiddie cartoons. Animes are not usually kiddie cartoons!

Exact! My brother gets pretty angry when people call Anime cartoons. I don't mind it. I just correct them saying its japanese cartoons.

Most people I talk to don't even know what animes are. Or they think it's just weird... because it's not Disney?

I have been trying to find this version of the Little Mermaid.. with the real ending where the prince does not pick her and she dies. I just can't remember what the name of it is. Of course what I did find about it, it's not made anymore.

Is that part of the Brothers Grimm Fairy tale?

When I talk about anime with someone they think its childish.

No it's Hans Christen Andersen. I have never read the book but I remember that anime from when I was a little girl.

Do they? Well, people usually think I'm childish when I get excited about my fandoms. I'm rather used to it.

They have only seen dubbed versions of the series in which they cut off some parts or episodes . Oh, and sometimes the voice actors sound...well...nauseous. That's sometimes now.

Dubs were awful back then. Bad like, old Chinese dubs bad. Which is why I usually prefer Subs.

The only series that I've seen with Chinese dubs is Crayon Shinchan. It sounded...well...weird. I know some Chinese words but I guess it's the way they've done it.

I thought the voice actors for Sailor Moon were okay until the S and Super S seasons aired. Dialogue wise, is a different story.

I was actually thinking those old chinese kung fu movies back in the day.

Ah! My Goddess was dubbed very well. So was Gunsword. I actually liked the English lead in Gunsword better than the Japanese. That is rare.

True, Vampire Hunter D did have good dubs. Funny you mention it, I was thinking about it this morning.
