War movies.

I just can't do it. Find them boring. I think I've enjoyed maybe one or two.

I'm the same way with War Movies, my heart can't take it.
Yes, I LOVE Horror Movies but War really happens all the time. It's heartbreaking!
I adore Tom Hanks but have not seen Saving Private Ryan, I want to but I'm never ready.
The same with War Horse. I really want to see it.. but....

Dance movies, Horror and certain comedies.

Dance movies I find incredibly tedious, partly because I am not a big fan of watching dance because I find it boring, and partly because the storylines can be predictable.

I love psychological thrillers but am not a fan of Horror as it is mostly just blood/gore and things jumping out with no real plot. There are some horrors which I can watch purely because they are so bad that they are almost comedy and therefore are entertaining

I love comedy, and there are plenty of comedies that I love but I can't stand comedy movies which exist on a 'laughs per minute' basis and don't really have a plot or 'journey' that the characters go on, also not a big fan of slapstick comedy as I don't find it funny. My favourite type of comedies are usually those that have some other element eg. drama or romance etc. in them, even if it only plays a small part in the plot.

I've actually tried to watch this movie several times. I really want to like it. But I always fall asleep at the exact same time during the movie!

Soapbox movies, the kind that are telling a message by smacking you in the face with it. There are better ways to tell a story and people on your side.

That's how alot of Tyler Perry movies are, they keep beating my head in with "God this, God that," ugh.

I'm like that with Bill Maher movie about God not being real. He didn't give a good and well rounded argument. It just felt like he was saying, "I'm right and your all stupid."

agreed. I'd rather have a creative movie with the message being hidden or converted in a way that makes it not alienate certain people and can be freely associated to each individual.

I don't think they try for scary with the Saw films. It's more of a moral justification of our actions that allow us to explore the psyche of WHY we do things and what we take for granted.

I feel Saw 1-3 were like that then after that it became another slasher film. The movies started to suck IMO.
