The 15-20 year remakes are obvious. Take e.g. Spiderman (2002) vs. The Amazing Spiderman (2012). Everybody who was too young to watch the "original" movie back then can now enjoy the updated version. It's very easy, just repeat the same stuff every decade or 15 years and make easy money.
We have so many Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, etc. But not one Wonder Woman movie or Black Widow movie...that doesn't seem unbalance at all.

I half don't want them do a movie for one of the comic book hero women because it's Hollywood. And I would figure they would mess it up like half of the comic book movies have been. Or make sure the movie is more about the woman being a sex symbol instead of an action hero like they do with the men.

I understand sequels are money, but if it's a badly made movie. Wouldn't that be a waste of money on the studios part? Sure people will see it opening weekend and a bit after that. But word will get out that it's bad and with ticket being so expensive and dvds/blu-rays expensive as well wouldn't most people pass?

I don't care for most of the movies to be honest. I like "special" movies that are cleverly written and have an interesting plot and some message or several layers of messages. So I try to watch less movies but some with quality. Too many movies I saw in cinema (it's always a problem because my friends have different taste and can enjoy these mainstream movies, which I mostly don't) were okayish to boring/bad, and you pay even more than if you would by the dvd (yes, d-v-d, that's what I watch on my like 10 year old television) and also I have to enjoy the German dubs instead of the original voices, despite the good dubbing quality the original is better of course. Too much money for little to no fun.
I rather have quality over quantity any day of the week. I have found that the older I get the more I need from my movie watching experience. I want an actual story, real dialogue, real acting, a movie that has heart. Instead of the studio hiring the two latest "hot" actors and throwing around $20 million dollars of special effects. I tend to wait for dvds as well, going to the theater is too expensive and I'm too busy to go most of the time. Plus with the dvds I can rewind to catch something dialogue or moments I didn't catch first time around. I only really go to the big screen for movies that were meant to be seen on the big screen like Star Wars or Avatar. Or a movie that I'm really excited to see and have been waiting for.

I avoid all horror/scary movies. Anything with over-the-top gore. My brother made me watch part of the Hostel movies once. *shudders*

If a movie wins an Oscar, or is just nominated for lots of awards, I'm almost guaranteed to find it boring, therefore I usually just skip them.

^I don't usually like the movies that get nominated for awards. You know where all the promos become about how they're getting rave reviews by the New Yorker or something. Because they always make movies into these huge things and then I see them. And I kinda feel let down, some of them I do enjoy but they've been hyped up so much it kinda ruins the movie for me.

Like Avatar, everyone was like, "if you see one movie this year, see this one." And I went with my family and I enjoyed it, but I was like it's ok. Making something bigger than life, seems to take all my enjoyment out of it for some reason.

Avatar let me down as well. The storytelling was so poor. Cool looking effects, though. Haha.

I legit stopped watching awards shows last year. No more. Most are huge pageants and very little artistry.

I find I have gotten sick of series movies. And I mean like movies that have gone past three of them. I have seen very few movie series that are good past three.

Right. Some movies defy this limitation (IMO the last two Fast & Furious are really fun and well done), but most franchises lose steam after the second installment.
