i had seen the original on tv as a kid, but got to see the 1998 remake with Lindsay Lohan, twice in the theater, good times. still one of my favorite theater and movie memories.

i am still sad at the untimely passing of the great actress Natasha Richardson, at age 45 in an unfortunate skiing accident. i had always thought she would one day play the role of Princess Diana, in a biopic. that would've been epic.

Yeah it is so sad she died, she was so young, very talented, I remember being so shocked when I heard she had passed, especially being if she had went and gotten medical care, she could have made it.

The original of this movie is and will always be my favorite. I liked the remake especially with the fact that the originally Vicki was the mother this time that was poetic justice somehow. I remember being in a store called Media Play right after DVDs were really starting to be put on the market and I literally squealed when I saw it of course I bought it on the spot.

Don't know if any of you that post/read the thread are Girl Meet Worlds fans but Uriah Shelton who plays Josh on the show the remake is his favorite movie. Just a bit of trivia for you all.
