You're right, perfect choice of movie for Father's Day

Dennis Quaid was brilliant in this film. Really funny and kind with the twins, and a very believable romantic lead partner for Natasha Richardson.

it's one of those rare kids' movies that doesn't feel tailored to kids. I think Natasha and Dennis have a lot to do with that. Great actors and chemistry

No, I remember having it on VHS though

Me too! It's weird because I didn't hear about a cinematic release for it (I got it as a gift on VHS) and just assumed it was a made-for-TV movie at the time.

The scenery of London and California would have looked great on the big screen

I always loved Silvestri's score for the movie.

I still will never get any a couple would split and not tell their children. I'd also wanna see my other child not just forget about it! I never got past that as a kid watching the movie.
