I never thought I would say this but I would nominate Matt Damon for his performance in the Bourne Supremacy, he was so good you really felt his pain, frustration and anger.

Best Actress In Lead Role: Kate Winslet - Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Best Actor In Supporting Role: Mark Ruffalo - Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Best Actress In Supporting Role: ???

The only Oscar-worthy movie I've seen so far this year is Eternal Sunshine. I love everything about that movie and will be very bitter if it gets ignored when the awards roll around.

Absolutely, no question. Jim Carrey was phenomenal; I bet it'll end up being the performance of his career. Even if it isn't completely appreciated now, it certainly will be many years down the road.

This movie is the film of the year. I've been steadfast with that opinion since I saw it in March, and I'll continue to stand by it until I'm proved otherwise.

Nothing. I just--well, I'm putting the bunny back with his little friends and I just sort of massacred them a little bit, but that's life in the jungle isn't it?

Well, you'll get no argument from me! I think it's the best movie that I've seen in years.

You know, I would have to agree.

This movie wasn't a huge box office success. I think I read somewhere that the budget was 20 million and and it made 30 million. Not abysmal, but what's really great is that the DVD sales have been excellent, and it's only been out for a couple weeks. I truly hope that with this resurgence of interest that it will be the boost that it needs to get some much deserved Oscar praise.

Please tell me you're kidding. As if he even made more than one face in that movie.

oooh thats really tricky one

I Paul Bettany in Wimbledon i really believed he could play tennis and the expression and emotion you can see on his face was brilliant.
I also thought J Phoenix was fantastic in the village.

As for best picture i couldnt pick one out of all the movies i have seen but i thought the terminal was great and the village (although was a little predictable)

So far this year I have seen two performances that I thought were very good. One was Eric Bana in Troy and the other was Meryl Streep in The Manchurian Candidate.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is my favorite movie of all time. It's not one of those movies where you feel dumber after watching it. If Kate Winslet and Jim Carrey are ignored come Oscar time I am going to start a riot.

Best Picture: Wasn't The Passion of the Christ this year? I definitely have to choose that. It had excellent acting/directing, and to say it was deeply moving and effective is a huge understatement. It was such a powerful movie, I've never seen anything that had the same effect on me.

Also, Eternal Sunshine. I can't think of any other Oscar-caliber movie I've seen this year, and this was definitely a fantastic movie.

Best Actor - Lead: Definitely one of the two Jims: Carrey or Caviezel

Best Actress - Lead: It's a toss-up. I would most likely go with Kate Winslet for Eternal. I think Julianne Moore deserves honorable mention, though, for The Forgotten. It was a crappy movie, but I thought she was really good. I was also pretty impressed by Uma Thurman in Kill Bill vol.2, although neither the former or the latter compare to Kate's role.

Best Actor - Supporting: Probably Mark Ruffalo. Maybe David Carradine, but I don't know if he would be considered a "supporting" role.

Best Actress - Supporting: Maia Morgenstern and Monica Bellucci for The Passion. They were amazing.
