A Chucky reboot starring the voice of Mark Hamill --

Sorry, but Brad Dourif will always be Chucky to me

The remake looks like crap to me. I loved the Chucky movies before they got goofy (IE Bride and Seed of Chucky. I kind of like Bride of Chucky but that's when the series took a turn for the worse. Seed of Chucky is just WTF?) then I was loving them going back to basics with Curse and Cult of Chucky. Plus in those they brought back the original Andy and Kyle. I guess with this reboot those films are done with SMH.

^^ I echo those thoughts, from both of you I'm sick and tired of all these reboots. Get a new idea already Hollywood, or don't bother.

Looks like another interesting Del Toro movie -

I wanted to hate the remake but it’s rewlly good. At the same time a lot of the criticism is valid, it does have a lot wrong.

For those that want nothing to do with the remake you’ll always have the original series not to mention a Chucky TV show is coming later with the original creator and Dourif voicing him again

Totally respect your opinion

Also, I didn't know about the TV show! Thanks for telling us about that Brad stayed so loyal to this series.

Watched a movie made in Ireland called Stitches, it's a Horror/Comedy about a man who dresses/acts as a clown for kids' parties then dies in a freak accident - and returns years later to exact his revenge

This was a bizarre movie. Rude scenes, 3D looking gore scenes (it really looks like it was shot in 3D and the blood looks cheap on screen)... I think comedy horrors can suffer from relying too much on trying to be silly, like this one.

I'll give it 4/10 because even though I didn't love it, the death scenes were really shocking

I agree with this review of the film. I watched it as I love horror, comedy/horror and I am a big fan of Ross Noble but it wasn't great.

I love Poltergeist another classic by the great Tobe Hooper.

The part that creeps me out the most is when the tree starts moving towards the house and nearly crushes the little brother

Thanks yeah he's a good actor and the definite strength of the film.

It's a shame because I think the premise was promising but because it leaned towards the Comedy side of things (and the 3D ) it all just seemed so silly. It was a revenge story and yet urged audiences to laugh more than sympathize with anyone.

I watched ''La Llorona'' this week. It was a good enough Horror film I think. There was an inexplicable part where a girl had to stay behind a line in her house by the front door to protect herself from La Llorona & she instead tried reaching across it to grab a damn doll. It almost cost her life.

the things people will do to keep hold of their dolls

I watched Friday the 13th: A New Beginning yesterday -

It's the 5th movie in the series and takes a turn in that it

ISN'T Jason (I'm not tagging this because this movie's really old )

I thought it was a pretty decent movie but it's sort of an experimental one that takes risks with the plot and I'm not sure you can really buy the fact that a non-Jason would defy violent attacks by his prey almost to the same level that Jason can. For example. there's a scene where he gets hit by a tractor and basically bleeding to death (as well as getting his arm nearly chopped off) but he's still up and running after Tommy The guy is not super human, he's just motivated by a need for revenge

I love love love horror films. I like to be scared as long as it's fictional because real life is scary enough. If it's true or based in truth, I don't wanna see it lol I remember watching The Haunting in Connecticut and literally jumping across the room at a certain scene. It was based in reality supposedly and scared the heck out of me.

Another film that gives me the creeps (though not reality based - I hope lol) is Jeepers Creepers. I still can't listen to that song without expecting a freaky monster to appear.

I LOVED the Haunting in Connecticut, the second one, "Ghosts of Georgia" was really good as well!

Jeepers Creepers is fun, because the monster is made up, it's so obviously fake, but when it comes to ghosts and haunting style horror, they're more chilling to me.

I love the first Wrong Turn but most of the sequels were just bland.
