I guess what I'm saying Lyn is that IF this season is the last, and DE are to be endgame which I believe they are, then it is unlikely that they will be reunited so quickly and so easily. DE is the show's biggest draw and a moment like this is HUGE. It's so important that it will be kept for an important episode, a milestone even.

I'm not suggesting DE won't be reunited in some way, I hope they are but knowing how tv works, in particular this show I do believe a DE reunion will be so simple. To have Damon die, them be forever separated and have the show pick up 4 months later everyone grieving, then have him back and them back together in 7 episodes just seems unlikely in my opinion. I had got the impression they would be separated for at least half a season and if the show was renewed for a seventh season, have even more obstacles in their path before a true reunion.

I just can't see it being so simple that's all. You can have a couple together and interesting, but like I said the impression I get is season 6 is all about angst and longing and fighting their way back to one another. Perhaps that arc is only for the first few episodes though? I don't care as long as I am getting great and meaningful DE scenes, be them in a relationship or not

Yea i get what you're saying Lauren tho I'm not so sure this will be the final season. JP seems very hopeful for a season 7. I think the main question is if Ian will be a part of it or not. And it really does seem that Damon will be back in the land of the living by 6x07 cuz Ian hasn't filmed with Kat in 2 weeks. Yet he's filmed with Paul and Candice (that we know of). They just started filming 6x08 which is when I think the rain kiss is. Maybe Damon is back but Elena doesn't know it yet. Maybe there is a reason she can't know. Which will then lead to their reunion in the rain (hopefully). Considering DE were only reunited at the end of 5x21 only to be ripped apart in the worst way in the very next episode, I think DE and the fans deserve at least a couple episodes before the next set of angst starts. That's all I'm saying really.

I mean 7-8 episodes of no direct/physical contact is gonna be excruciating enough. Especially with a couple like DE. It's gonna be the most angst DE fans have ever endured so far I think.

ETA: just looked up the current weather in Atlanta and it says "Clear" with 2% of rain. More points towards DE

The camaro! That death was almost as sad as Damon's.... Thank goodness it is back! Stefan must repair it after all. That's actually really moving and sweet of Stefan...

Is it just me or is the paint different? Like a more metallic electric blue?

Lol, yes, I nearly cried when DE wrecked it in order to blow up the Grill.

And no, it really does look a bit darker in colour, although it could just be the pic.
But who cares - as long as it's back I'm happy!

I did particularly love this part tho:
