Oh here comes your hangup about characters being old again...

Patrick Stewart was absolutely perfect for the role.

In the comics, both characters are approximately in their 40's, Petra.

Thanks for the pic! Were Fassy and James both at the same place?

It's not a hang up, sum1. I just want the characters to be portrayed accurately, that's all. It's no different than how you and I feel about Peter Parker being portrayed too young, or how you feel about Wolverine being portrayed as too tall.

I disagree.

Also, Xavier was more like 50s or even 60s in the comics. And Magneto is a Holocaust survivor.

X-Men comics came out in the 1960s, so both men would've been in their 40s at the time, sum1. Magneto was a child when the holocaust happened. Tony Stark was working in Vietnam during the war, so shouldn't he be in his 70s? Shouldn't the Punisher also be in his 60s since he served in Vietnam? Time moves differently in comics.

In Marvel chronology about 15 years have passed since the comics that came out in the early 60s. If Xavier was in his 40s in Uncanny X-Men 1 that puts him in his 50s or 60s. And he's been portrayed as a distinctly older man for a long time now. Most definitely not 40s. As for Magneto, the two dates that are relevant are now and the Holocaust, not the 1960s comics.

You need to get used to characters being older. You seem to have a fixation on eternal youth or something.

Did I have a problem with Robert Downey Jr. playing Tony Stark? I just want the characters portrayed accurately, sum1. I feel the same way about Peter Parker always being portrayed as a punk teenager in the movies. That's not the Peter Parker I grew up with. The Peter I grew up with is a man in his 20s, not some high school kid.

No, but I've heard of it. It's based on the Spider-Verse storyline from The Amazing Spider-Man comics, but Peter is the main character in that one. The animated movie made Miles the main character. Yes, I know that the adult Peter was in Into The Spider-Verse, but I don't know if he was the 616 Prime Marvel Peter Parker. The Peter in the movie was supposedly in his 30s and divorced from Mary Jane. Ugh, and I just saw a trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home and more of this Zendaya garbage. Her Michelle character is a really unnecessary addition.

Anyway, I still like James as Charles. Nothing against Patrick Stewart, but James is just awesome in the role.

Zendaya is perfectly good in the Spider Man films. Quit slagging her off. She's one of the better parts of the films.

I saw a trailer for Into the Spiderverse. It was AWFUL.
