There is nothing to say you need to have one, but it can be a good place to store your spells, rituals, traditions, practices, and even thoughts. Some often put rules relating to their coven if they are in one, or just rules such as the wiccan rede. But there is nothing to say that not having one makes you any less of a wiccan .
