You're not doomed, Alison. This is just a temporary set back. You're ankle will heal. for the time being you could limit your calories, drink your water....Hey, have you tried water aerobics? Or any kind of water exercises? Those may be good for you since the risk of injury is less in a pool...

I also still think you should consult a personal trainer or some exercise person. They might be able to set up a program that will work for you.

Thanks guys... needless to say, my self-defeatest attitude doesn't help at all... just makes me upset since I was sort of getting into the groove of working out, and then all this happens...

I am in the walking cast thing for a few more days (at least) and I am suppose to go get a check up in a few days to see how things are going... I am still so sore... she hit us HARD (we were in an accident by the way... stupid woman rear-ended us).

So I bought the size 4 skirt, and for the first time in a long time I'm proud to share my legs with the rest of the world. And since I'm 5'9 and a 1/2, there's a lot of leg to share.... [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img]</STRONG>

How did you get down that many sizes? I'm between a 10 and 12 right now and desperately want to get down to a six...and a four [img]smilies/eek.gif[/img] That'd be marvelous!

I just started exercising today..did stair-step machine for 20 minutes and then did various exercise machines for another 25 minutes.
What exactly is the Special K challenge? And has anyone tried it and had it work?

Hey dudes I know it's been a long time. Finals week and spring break and then this quarter starting. I have been exercising regularly even though finals week! Spring break a little less but I was doing construction work so I was lifting a little, raise the roof!...haha. For the last quarter I got a 3.8 GPA...3 A's and an A-...yeehaw! And now this quarter I only have two classes and an independent study so I have more time...however I work 12 hours a week and have Ultimate frisbee practice 4 to 5 times a week for two hours, so I am staying active. However I have still not really gotten off my plateu and it's making me mad. I'm well, but I should still watch what I eat..any good suggestions for healthy lunches, that can be eaten quickly....or in a bookbag for the day?

100 sit ups + climbing stairs three times + walking 2 blocks + 25 lunges + 25 toe touches= one sore and still body.

I think the reason that my body never hurts after I do situps is because I do a combo of different situps to lead to the 200 that I do every night.

First I start off doing the regular one with my hands behind my head.

Then I do the Britney spears version where I interlock both legs and raise them to the ceiling doing sets as I go to the right and then the left.

Then I put both legs down on the ground put one ankle ontop of the other knee and then do a set of situps like that. Then I go the other way.

Then as Im finishing off my sits up, I sit up slightly and work my legs like im running that way i feel more pressure in the abdomen.

hello everyone..sorry i have not been posting much..have been on the busy side.
but you see i need some help.
i injured my right knee and ankle playing soccer last weekend. now i'm not allowed to do any kind of ballistic movement.. i can limp..but not run or anything..i barely make it up the stairs without much struggle. but i still want to exercise because i'm not use to just sitting around.
please help.. what exerciese can i do?
