Irish hunk Colin Farrell has proven his credentials as a family man by buying a plush Hollywood home for the mother of his new baby.

The 26-year-old recently announced that he and model Kim Bordenave are expecting their first child this August. And the Minority Report star seems eager to provide everything he can for his new family, as he has splashed out on a luxurious new residence for them.

While Colin will retain ownership of the palatial property, which reportedly had a seven-figure price-tag, it is believed that just Kim and the baby will live there. Up until now the model has lived in a modest annex in the grounds of another person's Los Angeles residence.

And Colin has even eschewed his wildman image to sign up for training in how to be a good father. He and Kim have booked a five-month course at Hollywood's Parenthood Clinic, where they will be taught breathing techniques, how to change a nappy and even how a woman breast feeds. "I want to be a real hands-on dad and be there for my kid," says Colin. "I want to learn all about being a good dad and put 100 per cent into it."

In an Australian newspaper The Daily Telegraph they said:
There's a report in The Sun in England whichh claims Russell Crowe's been writing with Irish bad boy actor Colin Farrell, who is keen on a singing career. Farrell got the taste bug after recording the classic I Fought The Law-written by Sonny Curtis, made famous by the Bobby Fuller Four and much later, rock legends The Clash-for the Intermission soundtrack.

SEX-CRAZED Colin Farrell has set his roving eye on his new co-star -- Sean Penn's sexy wife, Robin Wright Penn!

And sources predict the wild Irishman -- dubbed the Lusty Leprechaun for his admitted fondness of casual sex – is headed for big trouble with bad-boy Penn. "Everyone believes he has the hots for Robin -- he can't stay away from her," says an insider. "But he better not forget who she's married to."

Tongues started wagging because of the time Farrell's been spending around Robin's trailer on the Toronto set of their new 1980s-era film, Home at the End of the World.

He also rides with her to the set each day in a minivan. "Sean trusts Robin, but if Colin so much as looks at her in a way that he doesn't like or he feels is disrespectful, he'll be happy to straighten him out," says a Penn friend.

And Penn is someone Farrell shouldn't mess with, adds another source. "He's very jealous and has a hair-trigger temper.

"He's not afraid to let his fists do the talking -- and he has guns, too."

But Penn's reputation doesn't seem to faze Farrell, as these photos reveal. "Colin's constantly hanging around Robin's trailer and seems reluctant to go," says a source. "He'll often pause at the door, as if trying to delay leaving."

He also doesn't care who watches his displays of affection toward the attractive Mrs. Penn, a natural blonde, who plays a redhead in the movie.

He gave Robin a bear hug and planted a big kiss on her lips after shooting a scene. "On another day, they shot a sizzling scene in which he kissed her tenderly among the trees. And when they shouted 'Cut,' it was clear Colin didn't want to let go. As they stood around talking to the crew, he put his hand on her back, then put his arm around her shoulder and looked intently into her eyes."

Ironically, at the same time Robin and Farrell were filming, Penn's fondness for guns made headlines. Although he's never threatened anyone with a gun, according to police, his 1987 Buick Grand National was stolen outside a restaurant in Berkeley, Calif., on April 8. Inside the car were his loaded 9mm Glock handgun and an unloaded Smith & Wesson revolver. He has a permit to carry concealed weapons.

Penn has also had brushes with the law. He spent 32 days in jail in 1987 for beating up a photographer and attacking a friend of ex-wife Madonna.

But friends fear Farrell, 27, will ignore those facts because he can't help himself around sexy women.

The Phone Booth stud, who says he needs sex at least twice a day, is already expecting his first child with model Kim Bordenave.

The father-to-be has made no secret of his fantasy to sleep with every woman in Hollywood. He's been linked to Britney Spears -- who's five years younger -- and Demi Moore, 13 years older. Robin is 10 years older.

Body-language expert Carmen Harra examined photos of Farrell shooting a scene with Penn. "It's clear sex is on his mind," says the author of Everyday Karma. "But she's uncomfortable with his attention."

Farrell placed his arm around Robin's shoulder and on her back to claim her as his own, says Harra, but she kept her distance.

According to Harra, the other photos show Farrell participating in "a male mating ritual" with Robin outside her trailer.

"His body says: 'I'm a James Dean-type sex symbol. Get this jacket off me,'" says the expert. "Robin's holding on to the door because she refuses to be seduced by his charm."

Hanging in the doorway he flashes his sexy abs.

"He's saying: 'Look at my sexy body. Come and get me,'" says Harra.

"Robin doesn't respond to him. Her head is down, and he looks disappointed. But he'll try again."

And that would be dangerous, says the source. "Colin is crazy if he thinks he can target Robin as his next conquest. He'll have Sean Penn coming after him."
