For me, I just love Nine/Rose I think with Jack, it spoils it somewhat and I agree, I don't think Nine would let him share Rose. But their friendship I enjoy immensley and it's probably when I prefered Jack if I'm honest. He doesn't work as well with Ten imo. Also I don't like Torchwood Jack, much prefer him in Who.

Hi Liz, all by your lonesome? I was too tired after work yesterday to drag myself to an internet cafe. Hah, you've changed your avatar back to Chris! Much better! Do you want Chris to play Bond? I'll have think about this. At the moment, I have Christian Bale lined up for Bond! What do you think about Daniel Craig? I've only seen him in Casino Royale. I imagine Bond to be more elegant and refined.

If not Chris, my second choice would be Hugh Laurie. Bond has to be British at all costs Quote:

Next stop- A Price Above Rubies! I reckon I'll see all 4 DVDs over the weekend. Then I'll be frustated again until I get Our Friends In the North! Getting back to Bond. Yes Chris is sexy and talented and charismatic, but still can't picture him as Bond...yet. |

Here's a couple of pics with Chris as Nine, devastated at the thought of losing Rose in 'Bad Wolf'. This scene never ever fails to make me tear up. It's so beautifully acted and again, no words necessary. __________________

*Stumbles blearily onto thread* Sorry about the dark circles under my eyes, I stayed up watching all my DVDs last night!!!! I'm an instant gratification gal! Here are my reviews.
A Price Above Rubies- I was so desperate to see Chris I fastforwarded through some bits. I'll have to watch the whole film again. Basically it's about a Jewish woman(Renee Zellweger) who has difficulty conforming to a devout Jewish life. Chris plays her brother-in-law. He offers her a job as his jewellery buyer, but there's a price. I found Chris incredibly sexy in this film, despite the sombre Jewish garb, hat and long beard! He and Renee had sexual chemistry. I particularly liked the scene when he first kisses her. Chris doesn't have much screen time. What there is definitely worth watching. Charisma, presence- Chris has it in spades, even when he's shot with part of his face showing! With or Without You- A married couple are having trouble conceiving. The wife's previous love moves in with them, and the trouble reallys starts. I don't know why, but it kinda surprised me how well Chris plays "domestic". His character is an ordinary bloke who does blokey things like tinker with his car and doing blokey things with this tools. I love domestic Chris. *swoons* I thought the ending was a rather too neatly resolved, but overall I enjoyed the film. The three leads are engaging. There's some nudidy and sex! If you're a Chris fan, you have to see/buy this. Some absolute swoonworthy scenes that I should mention: When Vincent (Chris) and his wife do sensual slow dance. Chris is wearing a deep blue shirt and looks like the most gorgeous man you ever saw. *thud* Are there women who don't find Chris attractive???????? They need to check their oestrogen levels!!!! There's another scene where the wife watches her wedding video. Chris in a wedding suit, smiling his radiant smile. Stunning, stunning, stunning. Warning: for some reason, the language on the DVD case and DVD menu is foreign, Finnish, I think! There were foreign subtitles over the film that I couldn't get rid of! It was very distracting! Perfect Parents- It's about a couple who pretend to be Catholic to get their daughter into a good school. Their deception leads to blackmail and murder. The film is directed by Joe Ahearne, who directed Chris in several episodes of Doctor who, including "Dalek", "Father's and "Bad Wolf". There are 3 things that Joe Ahearne does brilliantly- direct actors, build suspense, and shoot Chris's face! If you loved those closeups of Nine, check out the ones in Perfect Parents! This is an excellently acted and well written film. If you're a Chris fan, it's a must see! His acting here is among the best that he's ever done. I loved Chris and Susanna Harker together. Right now, I think she's my favourite leading lady for Chris. You'll know her as Jane in the Colin Firth version of "Pride and Prejudice". She has an ample, womanly warmth. She and Chris have an effortless chemistry that requires so little- just a look, a touch- to make them convincing as a married couple. I'd love for them to star together in a romance. Maybe if she had played Kate Winslet's role in "Jude", the movie would have been better. Chris has worked well with many of his female co-stars. Kate Winslet is the exception. Thanks for the reviews, I've seen bits of those films and have to say they do look good. I like the sound of Perfect Parents though because I do like Susanna Harker. LOVED her in P&P I must check this out.
*On a mission for Chris DVD's today* I have watched two episode of Cracker now with Chris in and into watching the third one and I have to say I'm impressed. Not just with Chris but the show itself is very interesting and the character of Fitz is very well thought out. Perfectly played by Robbie Coltrane. I like how he's a character with lots of flaws. Those kinds of characters always interest me. And well I do love Chris's character David Bilborough As a Chris fan, it's expected but Chris makes the character likeable. He can be an idiot but ultimately he is a good guy and you believe that. Just going to watch 'One Day A Lemming Will Fly'. Looks harrowing to say the least. __________________
