For me, I just love Nine/Rose I think with Jack, it spoils it somewhat and I agree, I don't think Nine would let him share Rose. But their friendship I enjoy immensley and it's probably when I prefered Jack if I'm honest. He doesn't work as well with Ten imo. Also I don't like Torchwood Jack, much prefer him in Who.

The trio have great friendship chemistry, and that's the way it should be. Apart from anything else, Rose hasn't shown any deep attraction for him. I ordered "Our Friends in the North" yesterday! It cost considerably less than the 179 dollars at Amazon!

I want to get Jude on DVD. It looks like such an amazing film, have seen bits of it and it just looks beautiful. Chris looks like he is doing an awesome job again!

Hi Liz, all by your lonesome? I was too tired after work yesterday to drag myself to an internet cafe. Hah, you've changed your avatar back to Chris! Much better! Do you want Chris to play Bond? I'll have think about this. At the moment, I have Christian Bale lined up for Bond! What do you think about Daniel Craig? I've only seen him in Casino Royale. I imagine Bond to be more elegant and refined.

Hmmmmm. I've seen it. The film distinctly lacks ....passion. I love to get your opinion on it. I find Kate Winslet bland, though I think I'm in the minority. I hope my new Chris DVDs arrive this week! I'm climbing the walls with frustration!

Oh yes, I think he would be fantastic. Trouble is, I reckon producers always go for the conventially good looking so I'm not sure Chris would have a chance, which is a real shame. Yes the acting is very important but I'm thinking producers also want someone that has all the girls lusting after him For me, Chris is stunningly sexy and has charisma and charm that puts many others to shame
If not Chris, my second choice would be Hugh Laurie. Bond has to be British at all costs

I like Kate, I think she's a good actress but she's not one of my favourites. I saw a scene with Chris curled up crying and it just broke my heart. Not many actors can move me to tears but just from that scene, I was very emotional. Beautiful acting again.

Bond in the books wasn't suppose to be conventionally good looking at all!

Well think the films have veered off that somewhat
Daniel Craig I have to say does nothing for me. But Eccles does

I love this pic, shows off his features quite well

Just kill me, why don't you? *thud* I got my new DVDS today!!!!!!!! Yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!! I watched Othello as soon as I got home. You've got to see this! Chris really gets to act up a storm. Have you read the play by Shakespeare? The tension in the film builds to a truly devastating ending. Chris plays the Iago character, only in the film he's called Ben Jago. I was never really sure about the character's true feelings. Even when he seems to be expressing genuine remorse, you don't know if he's putting on an act. Great acting by Chris. This is one of the best Chris performances that I've seen. There's one scene where his character is verbally expressing love for Othello while inwardly seething with murderous hatred and jealousy. It was frightening to watch because you half expect him to poke out Othello's eyes! His character is pretty sexy! "Do you like sex?", he asks into the camera at one point. Cut to a scene with him and a woman, and he's got his hand....well, I can't say anymore or I'll be kicked of the board for obscene behaviour!

Next stop- A Price Above Rubies! I reckon I'll see all 4 DVDs over the weekend. Then I'll be frustated again until I get Our Friends In the North! Getting back to Bond. Yes Chris is sexy and talented and charismatic, but still can't picture him as Bond...yet.

Heh, it may just be me then See I'd much prefer Chris to Daniel Craig. While I like Bond quite tough as Daniel Craig portrays him, I also like a mixture of the smoothness like Brosnan and Connery had. Think Chris would be able to carry that off But that's just cause I Chris. I'm sure many disagree.

I've seen bits of Othello on YouTube and that bit never fails to make me smile Yes, Chris, I like sex and I'd like it even more if it was with you From what I've seen of the film, Chris produces another amazing peformance. *need to rent it out/buy it*

Here's a couple of pics with Chris as Nine, devastated at the thought of losing Rose in 'Bad Wolf'. This scene never ever fails to make me tear up. It's so beautifully acted and again, no words necessary.

*Stumbles blearily onto thread* Sorry about the dark circles under my eyes, I stayed up watching all my DVDs last night!!!! I'm an instant gratification gal! Here are my reviews.

A Price Above Rubies- I was so desperate to see Chris I fastforwarded through some bits. I'll have to watch the whole film again. Basically it's about a Jewish woman(Renee Zellweger) who has difficulty conforming to a devout Jewish life. Chris plays her brother-in-law. He offers her a job as his jewellery buyer, but there's a price. I found Chris incredibly sexy in this film, despite the sombre Jewish garb, hat and long beard! He and Renee had sexual chemistry. I particularly liked the scene when he first kisses her. Chris doesn't have much screen time. What there is definitely worth watching. Charisma, presence- Chris has it in spades, even when he's shot with part of his face showing!

With or Without You- A married couple are having trouble conceiving. The wife's previous love moves in with them, and the trouble reallys starts. I don't know why, but it kinda surprised me how well Chris plays "domestic". His character is an ordinary bloke who does blokey things like tinker with his car and doing blokey things with this tools. I love domestic Chris. *swoons* I thought the ending was a rather too neatly resolved, but overall I enjoyed the film. The three leads are engaging. There's some nudidy and sex! If you're a Chris fan, you have to see/buy this. Some absolute swoonworthy scenes that I should mention: When Vincent (Chris) and his wife do sensual slow dance. Chris is wearing a deep blue shirt and looks like the most gorgeous man you ever saw. *thud* Are there women who don't find Chris attractive???????? They need to check their oestrogen levels!!!! There's another scene where the wife watches her wedding video. Chris in a wedding suit, smiling his radiant smile. Stunning, stunning, stunning. Warning: for some reason, the language on the DVD case and DVD menu is foreign, Finnish, I think! There were foreign subtitles over the film that I couldn't get rid of! It was very distracting!

Perfect Parents- It's about a couple who pretend to be Catholic to get their daughter into a good school. Their deception leads to blackmail and murder. The film is directed by Joe Ahearne, who directed Chris in several episodes of Doctor who, including "Dalek", "Father's and "Bad Wolf". There are 3 things that Joe Ahearne does brilliantly- direct actors, build suspense, and shoot Chris's face! If you loved those closeups of Nine, check out the ones in Perfect Parents! This is an excellently acted and well written film. If you're a Chris fan, it's a must see! His acting here is among the best that he's ever done. I loved Chris and Susanna Harker together. Right now, I think she's my favourite leading lady for Chris. You'll know her as Jane in the Colin Firth version of "Pride and Prejudice". She has an ample, womanly warmth. She and Chris have an effortless chemistry that requires so little- just a look, a touch- to make them convincing as a married couple. I'd love for them to star together in a romance. Maybe if she had played Kate Winslet's role in "Jude", the movie would have been better. Chris has worked well with many of his female co-stars. Kate Winslet is the exception.

Thanks for the reviews, I've seen bits of those films and have to say they do look good. I like the sound of Perfect Parents though because I do like Susanna Harker. LOVED her in P&P I must check this out.
*On a mission for Chris DVD's today*

I have watched two episode of Cracker now with Chris in and into watching the third one and I have to say I'm impressed. Not just with Chris but the show itself is very interesting and the character of Fitz is very well thought out. Perfectly played by Robbie Coltrane. I like how he's a character with lots of flaws. Those kinds of characters always interest me.
And well I do love Chris's character David Bilborough As a Chris fan, it's expected but Chris makes the character likeable. He can be an idiot but ultimately he is a good guy and you believe that. Just going to watch 'One Day A Lemming Will Fly'. Looks harrowing to say the least.

I used to post at a P&P board. A lot of people seemed to think she was wrong for the role. She doesn't look like how I imagined Jane, but I think she captured the character in other respects. Have you seen the recent P&P film with Keira Knightley? What did you think of Jane? Rosamund Pike looks like Jane, but the writer made her different from Austen's character I watched A Price Above Rubies again last night. Prepare for a bold statement: this is the sexiest that I've ever seen Chris on screen! If you watch only one scene from the film, you must watch the scene between Sender and Sonia at her house. Buy/rent/steal the DVD or watch it on YouTube, just watch this scene!!!!!! Chris is f------g brilliant, completely hypnotic, and startingly sensual. Several times in the film, the top half of Chris's face is cut off by the screen. I don't know why the director decided to shoot him like this. Maybe he thought Chris was so good only half of his face needed to be shown! As for the film, hmmmm. It was alright. Some bits drag. Some bits were weird. There was dead boy and mysterious old lady who kept turning up to talk to Sonia. I'm not sure what that was about! Renee can be incredibly expressive with her eyes, at other times, she makes annoying faces.

I'm glad to know that you're watching Cracker! Robbie Coltrane's fantastic as Fitz, and strangely attractive too! It's the main characters and their interactions rather than the crime plots that interest me.

I thought the writers made his character too clueless at times. You wonder how he made Chief Detective. I read that Chris decided to leave the show because he was dissatisfied that the character became a sidekick to Fitz.

The relationship between Othello and Dessie-her name in the film- was initially too Mills & Boon for my taste. I got a little bored with the scenes showing them in "lurve" and making love. The secondary relationship between Jago (Chris) and Dessie's best friend was sexier and more interesting. The film becomes more interesting as Othello is poisoned by jealousy.
