2009 Easter Special "Planet of the Dead" Episode Discussion
PLANET OF THE DEAD by Russell T. Davies and Gareth Roberts  Quote:
This episode will air on Saturday, the 11th of April at 6:45 on BBC One. The special will be repeated on Sunday, 12 Apr on BBC Three at 7:00pm with exclusive Red Button commentary from David Tennant, Julie Gardner and James Strong on Satellite and Cable services. A full Red Button commentary service will be available when the special is repeated later in the month. Planet of the Dead will then be repeated again on BBC One on Easter Monday, 13 Apr at 5:00pm. __________________

I love how epic the trailer makes it look!
I mean, I am sure it will be epic but you know, since this is a special and they got much more money for it  Yeah, and without the TARDIS  How domestic __________________

Definitely! It looks like it could've been the trailer for a feature film. Not that the usual episodes aren't epic as well, but I guess that's one good thing about just having specials...

I don't know but just think about it - maybe they got the same amount of money they usually get for a whole series? So instead of 13 'normal' episodes we get 4 'epic' ones

But still, 9 days! It's been so long since "The Next Doctor" already
 And they hopefully will let us know when the next special will air - or if the next one will be indeed the Christmas special  __________________

I know
 well, in a way, it makes sense. The last two episodes will be a two-parter, and they're going to be epic, intense and without a doubt very heartbreaking. So I see why they wouldn't want to air that over Christmas... And the only good thing is that the last 3 episodes will then all be within a month of each other, probably. But still, it's going to be a VERY long 8 months...  But we'll get Torchwood and (possibly?) SJA to tie us over... That's something at least!  __________________

I do get your point but still ... 258 days!
And Torchwood is only one week and as much as I like SJA, it is just not the same I probably will need to get back all of my lent dvd box sets to watch the whole show again and again __________________
