Wow, all the love for Nasedo! I will admit I do like the character in the show and I loved the actor who played him, thought he was spot on. Also I was saddened, confused and dumbfounded about that entire scene in the chamber in departure, it really made no sense. However, I am currently writing a fan fic and I challenged myself to follow show canon, as bad as it turned, so if you are a big fan of Nasedo you will not like my story and how the deal happened.

In the show I wished Nasedo was around more and that he did not make any deal. One option that could follow canon and clear Nasedo was to have had Tess make the whole thing up to save face with Max. For me the Tess I know wouldn’t do that.

One thing that could work is that Nasedo was somehow captured by the Skins and he made the deal to save himself without the intention of following through, and he told Tess about the deal in case some kind of situation arose where she had to know about it.

And Tess admitted to Max that Nasedo made a deal but was it ever clear whether she'd follow through with it if she got MMiI home?

No ..... Tess would never turn any of them over. Now this is all in my head but, she was very calm when Michael backed out so she already had plan B for the deal in motion, if the original deal was to deliver all three she was already breaking the deal. She loved Max way too much to turn him over. I think Max’s confrontational manner especially about Liz led Tess to just let Max believe the worst. I think once they were on the ship Tess had a plan.

You've got a great point there, she was already breaking the deal & she didn't seem that bothered about it - I think that proves that she just wanted to go home & take care of her child

yea, because if we listen to the writers, big bad evil Tess could've mind warped Michael to stay in the pod chamber / go home. She didn't even attempt it.

The more you think about it, the less it makes sense...

I’ve picked this episode apart and it really does not make sense, I wonder if after they wrote the episode did anyone read it once through and thought about it? The chamber scene isn’t the only problem I have....the entire Leanna storyline seemed thrown out there too.

I don't think the writers cared that it didn't make sense. IIRC they thought WB was canceling them and had no idea UPN would pick them up. So it was a rushed job to have the possible series finale get ML back together.

The writers had no guts, imo. It would've been cool to take the series in a different direction / on a different planet. I think writers today would do it.

I agree I blame the writers and the WB for how Tess was treated! Emilie deserved better!

May the CW / WB never get their hands on Emilie again.

umm...I'd have to disagree there. Lost and especially OUAT did her character so dirty.

I liked her in Lost, but I was a big lost fan. I only saw the first few seasons of OUAT and I liked her Belle. Not sure what happened in later seasons.

With OUAT, she hardly ever got a story outside of Rumpelstiltskin. She was there to be his cheerleader and his reward for not being evil.

Gutless is definitely a good way to describe the writers, they were complete cowards & obviously didn't care if the story made sense at all
