I think I'm going to go w/ #17 now. I mean I love the make-out scene I truly do especially when it used to feature my favorite song Destiny by Zero 7 & everything about it was perfection. But after that...I prefer happy M\L to turmoil M\L and even though it lead to a good outcome I'm going to vote out #17.

Welcome B.Chambers!

I love the caps! The forehead kisses, passionate making out, and hand-holding are so Max and Liz.

Yeah, they didn't think it through...
I agree and believe that Max had too many expectations placed upon him. The main one was to live a past life again that he didn't remember nor want with Tess. I would have loved to see Max save his planet and his people, but it seemed like just a myth and nothing concrete to accomplish. Also I don't believe that Max was a robot who could turn off and on his feelings with a flip of a switch. FMax had more than 14 years experience of loving his Liz, did he really think it would be that easy for his younger self to fall out of love with his Liz?

It was a type of episode that really needed an extended premiere or a two part episode so that they could cover the ground they needed to bridge the stuff left over from Departure. And to introduce the new direction it was going in Season 3. I agree, a few more flashbacks was needed. Why suddenly did they decide to hold up the store. Is it because it was a 24 hour store that never closed; so they couldn't go after hours. And Max needed to get down and see if the ship was there....
I don't know why TPTB cut important scenes that NEEDED to be shown on screen? Especially scenes that explain things and move the plot along.

So true!

I'm not exactly sure what Michael would say. I think he would have been for it as long as it saved everyone.
It would have been interesting to see Isabel and Michael's take on TEOTW. They never were Liz's biggest fans so them doing FMax's bidding would have definitely been different.

Max was an up front guy, so I don't see him playing games with Tess. I see Max being nice and honest with Tess like he told Liz he did in SaB. Michael spilled the beans to Courtney about the location of the granilith, so I see him doing way more liking than pretending.

it's the outcome of that episode that made it amazing. Not the episode itself
the outcome------> no matter how hard you can try, no matter if you even change the future. You can't change their love for each other. Max will always love her because he loved her even when he didn't know the truth and he believed that she had "betrayed" him. Max and Liz were fated and in the end they still married and they're even more in love than before. they will always find their way back to each other. Their love is transcendent. It transcended time, space, rational things even even time travel
Basically it was : f%*k "destiny"!
and not only into this timeline but even the "maybe" ones!

Well...when you put it like that I can cleary relate!

No wonder she didn't wear red for prom. Because then it might have gone right for her; instead of badly like it did.

Only time something other than red was a good luck charm was in "Blind Date" and that black dress where Max and Liz had a moment of progress.

But other than that; red was her color.

It meant something was going right for her and Max.
That's marvelous! You have a great eye for details too Jasper.

Voting is getting harder...#17, even though I get a kick out of Liz blasting Tess.

Future Max is just a bit absurd if he really thought that would make Max stop loving Liz. I mean of course it made him angry but his first instinct was actually disbelief. He couldn't believe that Liz would do that to him even though they weren't together. He trusted Liz and he just knew that Liz would never stomp on his heart like that. So then after Liz confirmed it he went to anger and then after awhile he still wanted to be friends with her, to protect her, to be there for her. It was only natural. Liz was such a big part of his life, a big reason why he became the person that he was so he couldn't stay away from her and he just couldn't stop loving her.

Especially since Michael and Isabel could disregard the destiny proclaimation at their will. But Max had to follow through on it. It's not like Isabel or Michael forced him. But the it fell as a burden on Max as the leader of the group. The expectations on him to be the leader, the be on top of everything. And even from his parents to be the perfect son. So when he fell off that pedastal with the arrest in Season 3...it caused Max to deal with those damn expectations on him. Finally deciding after dying that he would allow everyone to deal with their own decision and he abdicated the throne in the finale and allowed everyone to make their own minds up about what they wanted to do. He was just a boy. And everyone expected him to be perfect and to lead.

So true. Reading some of the cut scenes; I am amazed at the need for them. Heck we saw Phillip's investigation. We saw him asking why Liz had come back from boarding school so suddenly. And that the boarding school had withheld the deposit (I have to think because Max and Liz made a big mess in their massive fight to the death out that window). One of the cut scenes was of him calling Eileen and finding out that the reason Liz had come home was her "boyfriend Max died". And that Maria had come to take Liz home. Which put Phillip thinking Maria was on the list; and wondering if anyone wasn't hiding Max's secret.

Some of them sound like they were cut for time. Or they went another way with the scene. But some of it was needed and they should have left them in. It would have explained so much. Especially about Max and Liz's sudden crime spree. We know why they went after the diamond? We could have used to know why take a gun.

Quote:

That is what made Max and Liz so unique is that it was never easy for them. They had so few happy times but the bond and the love was there for eternity. They wouldn't never stop loving each other; even as they went through some horrific times and amazing obstacles that would have split any other couple.

Quote:

Yeah, it would have been interesting to see what they had to say. They respected Max and Liz's love. But they were never very comfortable with Liz. Probably because she was an outsider coming into the secret. Although I think Michael and Liz became closer as time went on. And Isabel had so few girlfriends by the time she got married that Liz and Maria were her bridemaids by default LOL. I think they all became closer as time went on. But yeah in the beginning; neither Isabel or Michael appreciated Liz. Although I think Michael appreciated that Liz never told Max that Michael took her diary.

Quote:

Yeah, he wasn't about games. Only if he felt that Tess was playing games that he might have done it. But usually he was straight to the bone about things. He would ask. And not push after he realized that it was useless to push. Just like he did with the thing about Kyle. He felt Liz was lying. And he pushed and pushed until she finally confirmed it but deep down I think he knew she wasn't being truthful about it. So he just allowed it to ride and didn't push it any further. Even though he wanted to.

Quote:
I wonder if Isabel or Michael would have told Max about Future Max.
That is a tough one. Because I can't see them keeping a secret like that from Max but if they felt it was better for Max not to know. But I am sure it would have been out sooner if three people knew; Isabel, Michael and Liz. Somehow it would have slipped before it actually did. Usually when more than one person knows something; it is harder to keep it a secret.

Quote:

It's usually when I've watched something often enough. I ususally start to catch things LOL. You can add a red dress as her bridesmaid dress for Isabel's wedding. The dance between Max and Liz was a positive moment. So yeah, red was definately Liz's colour.

#17 is out!!

I don't think Future Max would have went to Isabel, Michael and Liz. He would pick one. I mean the next person I would think he would have went to if not Liz, was Isabel. I kind of wish that he did go to her because what Future Max did was like this great conflict of interest. However, I don't know if he would be able to forgive Isabel for trying to break Liz and Max up. IDK, I guess it could have only been Liz. Still, that episode was one big ploy to break them up.

It pains me to vote for this but #2. It's getting terribly difficult now.

True. Than Michael may have been the better candidate for Future Max to go to. I am thinking Liz could have used some sane voices of the alien persuasion in her decison whether to go along with Future Max's directive. I don't know if he should have only picked one. Maybe Isabel is out; because having her help Liz cut her brother out would hurt the brother and sister relationship if Max knew. But I just wish he had gone to someone else. Liz was human and she was supposed to save the End of the World. That is a lot to put on her. Why couldn't she ask someone who knew the alien way of things.

If Isabel had been involved. And Max knew. Things may have been tense between brother and sister. But in the end; I think the truth would have been out sooner if more than Liz knew the story of Future Max and then Max and Isabel could make up whatever tension.

Max and Michael were always in a tension filled friendship; so anything tense wouldn't be so strange. And Michael was on record with his unease of Max and Liz.

It a hard delimna. But the only thing I know. Future Max shouldn't have only gone to Liz. According to him, Isabel and Michael were dead in the future. Why not either or both of them. Yeah, Future Max and Liz needed to have though it out further....

Now onto the Season 3 contest. Damn, it's hard to choose. Since my pick last time is still there. I'll go with #2 again. As much as it was nice to see and special to watch the connection between Max and Liz. And I love sneaky Max and Liz. The other episodes were more special.

So I vote #2 - Michael, the Guys and the Great Snapple Caper

picspam:
Liz: Dear max, it's so horrible and so unjust to pass you in school and have to wonder whether some teacher's going to call my father. But no matter how hard my parents try, nothing can keep us apart. I love you, and even when I can't see you in the day, I see you at night in my dreams.
And I have been. Dreaming about you. Over and over, it's you and me holding hands and flying through the night. I know it sounds cornball, but it isn't. It's amazing, like superman and Lois lane in the first movie. You know, the good one.

Max: God! I miss you!

awwww they're so cute and their chemistry

Liz: no! Max no!

Max: Trust me. Trust me. Don't you want someone who can make all your dreams come true?
Liz: Yeah, I guess I do.
Max: Then come on, Lois. Let's go.
[Max lifts himself and Liz onto a hang glider, and uses his power to push them off- they fly away]

Max: Shh, shh, shh! Shh!
Liz: That was just amazing, you know? That was so amazing!
Max: Well, you did say that, like... A dozen times.

Liz: Well, did I say it like this? Or, uh... That? Or, you know... I'm sure i didn't say this.
[Liz kisses Max]
Max: Well, you do have a way with words!
Liz: Oh. I'd invite you to come upstairs, but...
Max: But if your dad caught us...
Liz: Yeah.
Liz/Max: Mm-mmm. Mm.
Liz: Good night.
Max: Good night.

Mr. Parker: Did you have fun? Where you been? I'm asking you man to man where you took my daughter in the middle of the night. Be man enough to answer me.
Max: We went to the desert. We didn't do anything wrong.
Mr. Parker: It was wrong for you to see her at all. You know that.
Max: I'm sorry. I love her.

i even have an animation of the last scene lol

Thank you for the memories. I loved the episode because it showed that Max and Liz could be teenagers. Be sneaky to be able to see each other despite the restrictions. I loved that Max put those words on the wall. And how much they needed each other when they embraced in the kitchen. They had such a passion for each other. And it was nice to see them in that way again after the heart-break and long pining of Season 2.

Those caps were wonderful reminder. Thank you. The chemistry was magical.

OMGOSH, PIC SPAM!! Wow, I didn't realize that he called her Lois in that scene w/ the glider so cute. Love the animation. Man everything about them is so magical!

Oh man, look at all these amazing choices! Some of my favorite episode are still on the list. I think I'm going to go w/ #12. Ch-Ch-Changes has always been one of my favorite episodes but the ending is so devastating and if only for that I think that's the reason I'm going to vote it off. All the other episodes are just have a happier ending. I don't even know what I'll vote off next.

Damn it. Holy Crap. I don't know which episode to pick. So I am going to talk it out...

Busted. Hmmm.... I LOVED Bonnie and Clyde Max and Liz. I loved how twisted and warped that episode was. So contrary to what we knew of Max and Liz. But when you really nail it down. They had gone through so much so no doubt they had chanced and did some unhonorable things. They were in it together. Liz had her chance to talk and tattle on Max. But she didn't. Of course she was holding the gun and had more evidence against her... But stilll...

Tale of Two Parties... A nice holiday episode. Fun New Years for all of them. Except maybe Michael who got himself over the edge drunk. We got Max and Liz kissing at the Crashdown midnight. Max tried to have a good time and then realized he really did want to find Enigma.

Ch-Ch-Changes.... I LOVED the Changes arc. I love this episode because we saw the impact of all the alien chaos and how much it had impacted Liz. And how it was starting to impact Max and Liz. That scene where she finally exploded in her feelings and resentments was heart breaking. So devastating. For Max and Max and Liz fans. She was changing, and it wasn't pleasant.

Chant Down Babylon... Now this episode I can't vote out yet. You have Max making the biggest sacrifice of all. His life for Liz. He didn't care whether he lived or not. To him, Liz needed to live. She needed to get back to her friends and family. And he was ready to sacrifice it all. Enforcing the green shield... Wow, such a sacrifice. Sure he was not himself at the moment. He was Clayton. But Max won out... It was heart breaking to watch Liz turn to the bottle earlier in the episode. We saw how finding out Max was dead had changed Liz as much as the changes that were going in her body were changing her...

Graduation. What can I say. The proposal. True love winning out. Happy Ever after. That was a finale. Amazing...

So what am I going to pick.

#10. Tale of the Two Parties. We had some Max and Liz moments. We had the Crashdown midnight kiss. But still, it wasn't all about Max and Liz. There some nice coupling of the different characters and making them interact. But I just can't vote out the others yet.

So I pick #10.
