The Rebel Alliance, are the Max and Tess 'shippers. We like Max and Tess as a couple and we talk about that (among other things.) Some of our views may not be popular, but this thread is the place we have been given to express them. So if you don't like it, there
are other places to go where you can express it. That place is not here. If you don't 'ship Max and Tess we're fine with that and we love everyone to post here no matter what you support. But this is a Rebel thread, it's what we talk about and it's hard to feel comfortable expressing that when you have to be careful about "stepping" on anyones toes.


As with all threads this one is moderated. Roswell 10/2/00 and Dreamer 4 Ever are the kickass mods that have been assigned to us. But we are sure that other mods are also keeping an eye on us.

Hey there! If you are reading this you are obviously a Tess fan. We bet you were even directed here by a mod. If you're new to the Ros1 boards you've probably noticed and experienced the insane amounts of negativity our favorite fictional character has
generated. (Pretty impressive, isn't it?) Well negativity no more! You are now safely within the bounds of The Rebel Alliance. Sure, we're Max and Tess shippers but above all we're the biggest Tess fans around. So hang around, you'll find no one critizing our favorite evil lying manipulative skanky Antarian Queen. In fact, we embrace her. We want to be exactly like her when we grow up.

Whether you be Rebounder, Fifth Wheeler, Mindwarper, Catfighter, etc. etc. etc. you'll always be welcomed here.

They really were. I felt like their relationship was much more grown up than all the other relationships on the show. But I guess for a teen show a mature couple with huge responsibilities would not work.
And I feel like Tess knew Max better than he knew himself. I can't think of a time where she judged him.

I think everybody knew Max better than he knew himself, he was in denial a lot of the time.

you make a good point. A lot of the time he was running away from everything: himself, responsibility, anything that scared him that was or was not dangerous. I think he had a lot of growing up to do and he didn't reach maturity at the end of the series.

Beautiful caps. Tess was so supportive, and the scene after prom was very tender. I applaud the director for how that was shot. I really felt like I was watching something important.

it was a nice scene and it was the first time ever that Max was completely honest (with himself and Tess) so I have to at the scene for his honesty alone. Another scene I at is when Max apologized to Tess for taking her for granted. I wish there were more scenes where he was sweet to her and I wish we got to see him put his apology into action. B/c the episode after that he did a complete 180

That prom moment was perfect. I love how the past was incorporated into the present. And I think the chemistry between J/E was the best during that scene.

I really loved that scene. She remembered what his love felt like and that was beautiful to finally see her receive something back. And, yes, their chemistry was great.

His apology was a big step and it could've led to something wonderful, but his words and promises were short lived.
in what ways would you have liked to see Max make up for his lack of caring for Tess (if Departure never happened)?


What I love about Emilie's part of the scene is how she closes her eyes when he touches her cheek

as if she really is enjoying being on the receiving end of his affections. She had waited so long and her patience was finally paying off. He wasn't running from her. Instead he was fully participating in a romantic moment because he wanted to participate in it.
