I don't like the whole woman-gets-to-hit-man thing. If you reverse the situation it wouldn't be okay, so why is it seen as ok that way round?

Yeah, that part where Scully hit him for kissing her was an alternate universe taking place in 1939, different time period and she didn't know him at all. So that may be why she reacted like that.

In the normal universe, she would never hit Mulder. She did shoot him though

Maybe so Leanne, but I still I don't the way such things are shown on tv shows as if they are reasonable reactions.

Was it a good episode? It sounds very strange.

I didn't really care for the whole storyline, until the very end where one of the best shippy scenes ever between Mulder and Scully happen. He wakes up in a hospital bed, relating his dream about the alternate universe to Scully, and others, but he just sounds crazy and on painkiller drugs so no one believes him. But then he decides to tell Scully he loves her, which is true, but after all he was saying, Scully just brushes him off with an "oh brother" and walks away.

One of my favorite scenes cause each of them handled that so in their character.
