Nope, I haven't gotten mine yet. It's been, what, 5 weeks already? I'm guessing they're using that 6-8 weeks shipping rule, so it should be out in the next few weeks, I suppose. If not, then eh... I don't really have any idea what's going on.

Not so good j20 news from MediaLife:

''Despite getting full-season orders, new shows “Jake 2.0” and “Rock Me Baby” are losing way too much of their lead-ins for consideration beyond next year. And despite progress on Tuesday nights and strong-as-usual Monday and Thursday, UPN is still down in households and total viewers year to year.''

If we wanna see season 2, folks, now the time to write snail mail letters and postcards to our local UPN affiliate as well as the head of UPN:

Let them know that despite whatever the Nielsen families tell them, Jake has an audience, and it's a loyal one. Thank them for picking up the back 9, and ask them to please renew the show for season two. Look at it this way: can't hurt, will most definitely help.

Seriously--it's all we the fans can do, to try and make sure our shiny spy-fi show stays on the air, and taking 5 minutes out of our day, and sacricificing 37 cents for a stamp? Not hard.

I think that it's a combination of the Timeslot of Death (having WW, Angel, and j20 all on simultaneously) combined with HUGE gaps in Nielsen data (for example, it skips college students not living at home, VCRs, TiVo, and obviously BitTorrent), and the show being slow to build.

Two things will solidly help the show:

1) letters and postcards (NOT emails or petitions, but specifically letters and postcards). Basically, 1 letter is worth 10, is usually the ratio I'd heard quoted in the industry. Because they assume that for every fan who takes the time to write a letter and stick it in the mail, there are 9 more just like them out there. Petitions and emails don't count precisely because they're too easy. It's letters that make a difference.

2) new fans being hooked this winter while j20's "competition" is in reruns. Chances are, if the numbers go up this spring during the new eps, that would be why--especially if enough WW and Angel folks bail due to the [imo] dramatic drop in quality on both shows, whereas it looks like j20 is only getting better with each ep...
