I don't blame you.

I end up not seeing a lot of movies I want to see because I don't have anyone to go with me. And movies are crazy expensive now of days.

At least I'm not the only one with that problem.

I loved Voyage of the Dawn Treader - my favourite book in the series. Reepicheep was a wonderful character and really made that book for me. A Horse and His Boy bored me too and the series might have lost a little steam after VotDT.

BTW, which order do you read the books in? Chronologically by release-dare (staring with The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, or story-wise (starting with The Magician's Nephew)?

I remember reading The Silver Chair when I was young. I just don't remember anything about the book.

But I started to read in story-wise order. Then couldn't get past VotDT. I swear I might finish them one of these days....

Oh, the Silver Chair was dull too. Trailer for VotDT - not sure I approve of how different to the book it looks:

Definitely by release-date. It's an exploration, and the origin story has to come next-to-last for it to hold together.

I'd have to agree though - the strongest volumes are definitely the first three (LWW, Prince Caspian, VOTDT).

Now I'm going have to read the book before I see the movie.

Is it my mind playing tricks on me or was the 2nd older children in the trailer?

You think? Why so? It might have been just the lack of Pevensie-children (apart from tangentially), but I always found it to be not that interesting.

greeneyeswe3tie (sorry, don't know your name), I'm not sure if I saw anyone apart from Edmund and Eustace?

And I agree with AlexEvans about the reading-order (despite what Lewis himself said, lol).

The lack of Pevensie children improved it. Plus when the Pevensies appear, they're adults, not little kids, which is an improvement. It always pissed me off that they got to grow up in Narnia and then they got reduced back to little kids again. Didn't C S Lewis know that kids want to grow up and not be kids?

It's April. At 1:50 it looks like it shows Peter and Susan.

But it's that growing up - the process, not the result - that's so interesting to read about. And the Pevensie's exploration of Narnia, the first, has always been the most magical to me.

Oh, I agree with you that The Horse and His Boy is a good book. A full set of deeply flawed, fundamentally decent characters, and even a glimpse of the Royal Four in their glory days, from the outside... plus I love the idea of a Talking Horse teaching someone how to ride.

But my favorites are still the first three.

Thanks for the trailer, that looks really cool.

And around 1:20, when Lucy looks into that book. First she sees herself and then the person turns into Susan.

I hope Peter and Susan really appear, and not just for a second or as a dream.
I would just miss them too much.

And before anyone tells me they're not supposed to be in movie, it's not the book, things get changed in movies, so who really knows?

I saw that. But then it shows Susan and Peter walking.

That's what I thought they could appear in the movie since books get changed all the time when made into movies. But in PC they kept to the book where Susan and Peter wouldn't be coming back. But then again anything could happen.

Yeah, they could still change that.
Maybe thinking that it's about the Pevensie's and that not as many people would be interested if they won't show up at all.

Who knows.

But if it was up to me there would be a few more Narnia adventures with all for of them anyway.
